“Best Roadside Seafood in Area”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 April 2014

This busy little Seafood shack has it all. Sometimes there is a line, but its worth it. I love the fish tacos, the fish and chips, the coleslaw. BYOB. When you approach, start looking for parking on the highway. You might luck out with a parking space, depends on the day of the week and time. Sit outside and enjoy the view. I've seen dolphins, whales and seals while eating my fish. Also, a terrific seafood market with some nice side dishes available. 3 kinds of fresh salmon when I was there yesterday. The fresh seaweed salad was perfect with our Salmon dinner.

“a lunch break....”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

I had a nice long lunch break last week and thought I would try the number 1 spot in Malibu.

OK, if you live in LA....it's a drive, but a beautiful one. Takes about 45 minutes from Santa Monica and that is mid week. At lunch.

When you get there, it is perched on the side of the road and overlooks the ocean. Just to be clear, it's not ON the beach, but across the street. Parking is OK, but watch your kids and the street.

The food is good and huge portions. On the fish and chips, one piece is enough. Chowder is good, people say best ever....no but good. The fish market is nice as well. I saw a piece of grilled fish go by and it looked great. Sides are nice and so is the service.

A bit touristy....but should be with that view. Good idea to eat and then to relax on the beach across the street. Perfect day.

“Pit stop lunch”

Great lunch for a quick stop. The place is crowded and there will be a line but worth it. We had clam chowder, fish tacos and clams. Great food.

“Fish without fuss”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 April 2014

Been a customer for 17 years. The place is always busy but more so in the summer. Prices are a bit high but well worth it. Even though the fish and chips sell, the best there are loads of other things that I like much more.

“Had to try it out”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 18 April 2014

Visited Malibu Seafood April 7th. Drove by a few times over the weekend and saw long lines, and decided to go after lunch and before dinner, 3:30PM no lines! We had the large shrimp- and the Red Snapper, the shrimp was great!
