Generous portions of very fresh fish from a wide and varied selection at very reasonable prices especially for seafood at a restaurant overlooking the ocean. Nice selection of beers, too. For those who may not want seafood, there are also a few non-seafood offerings. The food is fresh and tasty, but pretty ordinary preparations: no special recipes or unusual preparations. The idea is good fresh food, in large portions cooked and served fast.

You will find the Reel Inn just past the where Topanga intersects with the PCH. This is not actually in Malibu but close enough and worth a visit. Fresh fish, rustic environment, fun spot with decent service.

If you don't mind so so seating and serve yourself dining, the food here is really good. The price is fair, also.

We ordered fish and chips, fried calamari and wine, and everything was just okay. Malibu Seafood Fresh Fish Market and Patio Cafe would be the example of perfect fish and chips to my taste. Reel Inn though is a really pleasant beach cafe to spend an afternoon. We had a good time with friends after a long walk along the beach. It was not crowded at all and we enjoyed seating on the shady patio.

Quick seafood - baskets and benches. Feels like a local haunt. I had shrimp tacos, my wife had scallops and Cajon rice. Not a lot of seasoning, but fresh and tasty.
