While a very good place for Chinese food, I guess it has been loosing money for a while. I just went there for lunch today and found it closed and bought by a company with plans to put up a non-Chinese eatery in its place.

We met friends for brunch at the Grill and had an excellent meal. Some of us chose breakfast entrees such as omelets, others had large salads. All of the ingredient were fresh and tasty. The setting was charming -- more like Lancaster, Pennsylvania than California -- and the wait staff was pleasant and efficient.

The place is super small, nicely decorated and friendly service. The location is not good and parking is tight. Menu is ample. We were a party of two and both had steak dishes. They lost points almost immediately upon serving a uninteresting salad blobbed and drenched in what had to be bottled dressing. Any decent restaurant takes care of small details such as fresh made dressings. The entrees were okay. One was the iron sirloin the other bacon wrapped filet with a bit of lobster and hollandaise. The sauce and lobster were really good; the filet, average at best, not well seasoned or cooked. The sirloin was better. Entrees were pricey for the quality. If I were to go back I'd stick to the right side of the menu with the simple, less expensive dishes and maybe I wouldn't expect so much.

Sounds like a disgruntled Big Wok owner bummed by a busy Farmhouse next door... Won't mention anything negative about Big Wok's FROZEN meats... AFG never uses frozen meat! I asked! The menu has expanded since we've started eating there and remain some of their biggest fans!
