hat a great little boutique hotel. I thought the staff to be amazing. I even witnessed a guest acting a fool and being a bully to the front desk,  yet they were still very professional.
The bed, pillows, & sheets were 5 star quality.
There was a foul smell on the 3rd floor hall.
we had breakfast 1 morning and I found the food to be a good quality.
Our tv wasnt working,  within minutes of calling, someone came up to repair.
would definitely stay again.

Depends very much on the room. Had two rooms: the first (124), noisy (close to lobby), smelly and uncomfortable, so I asked to move. Depending on the receptionist asked there was room or not, so I needed to spend another night. The 2nd one, more comfortable (3rd floor) and less noisy (although noise from street was clearly noticed). The breakfast is good enough, and they prepare pancakes or waffles, on request, and service is polite and quick. There is a valet parking (10$ per night), very professional (don't forget the ticket).
Laundry is an external service and it is received next day (I needed to ask because the clothes were not at my room and it took for a while to find them...
So, probably, if I come back, I will ask for a room far from the elevator and, never, close to the lobby...

This hotel was perfect for what we did while in California. We didn't want to pay LA city prices but wanted to be close, so this hotel worked great. $10.00 a day valet parking, very nice and helpful staff. We brought our bikes with us and forgot a lock, the hotel gave us one to use. Just down the street is a nature walk where the locals take their dogs. Distance to Hollywood and downtown LA was about 20 mins, (depending on current traffic of course). Rooms were clean. Only critique I have was the smell in the hallways, mildew/mold smell.

We stayed here for a night before flying out of LAX. Unlike the airport hotels it is walkable (30 mins walk) to downtown Manhattan Beach and so provides things outside the hotel to do even if you don't have a car, as long as you don't mind a little walking, while still being close enough to LAX for the taxi to be affordable. The walk to town is attractive, with a walkers/joggers' path running the whole way. Our room was very nice, with a comfortable and large bed, though the bathroom was a bit outdated with a very small bath with a showerhead, not quite what I'd expect from a boutique hotel. The courtyard and pool areas were both great - very attractive and stylish. The whirlpool in the pool area was very nice. There's a good value happy hour at the bar/restaurant, though it's not as characterful a restaurant as it might be, and the breakfast was decent and fairly priced. Overall we were very happy!

Room Tip: If you're getting a room with a balcony, try to ask for one overlooking the courtyard rather tha...

We stayed here for our first night arriving in LA as I know we would be very tired from the long flight and this is not far from the airport. It took nearly 2 hours to get through customs and the 45mins to get our car so we were even more tired, not the hotels fault I know. But I booked a deluxe king room with a balcony, as I knew we would be up really early due to time difference and I could maybe sit on the balcony in the early hours and look over the courtyard at the water features and palm trees as described on their website. But no, our balcony over looked a roof. All I could see was this roof or the road.

On the positive sides, the beds are very comfortable and the breakfast was delicious and reasonably priced. The staff at breakfast were very friendly as well.

We were sorry to hear that you had such a tiresome experience at the airport, we certainly understand your frustration. Please let us know the next time you are in town so we can arrange a room with lovely courtyard view so you can enjoy the sights and sounds of the pool and new firepits. Thank you for being our guest and we hope we can see you again soon.

Recent stay at The Belamar Hotel was wonderful. Rooms are modern decor, clean, and cozy. Very pretty, sleek lobby. Great restaurant & bar. Staff friendly, helpful and accommodating. Nice courtyard, pool, fitness center. Great price / excellent value. Walking distance to mall, grocery store, drug store, restaurants. Close driving distance to beach restaurants & shops. Very nice wood chip/green belt jogging path that goes for miles…..to beach or further inland. This is a great find. Will stay here again and often!
