Have stayed here previously on business in an upper floor room. This time was on 4th floor during a very busy period with high occupancy. What was excellent - as usual in this property - is the guest service from the moment you arrive with the bellhops, doormen and valets to the front desk. I was checked in quickly and professionally by name and thanking me for returning. What was a bit disappointing was the room. Room was much smaller and less comfortable due to size and what felt like an "older" room. Needs an update. While bed was comfortable bedding and bathroom linens were average. No full length mirror anywhere - that's a MUST in a business hotel as should be free, high quality wireless internet service. Free internet service in the lobby was spotty. Love the exercise room which has a variety of machinery along with free weights, exercise and bosu balls. Pool outside was great for a quick swim. Room service dinner salad with chicken and arugula was fresh and tasty, if a bit pricey. If you have a bit more energy , like I did in the morning, Bristol Farms grocery is located in a shopping mall next door and is a great option for prepared sandwiches, salads, sushi and has a convenient Peet's coffee and bakery for breakfast. Better restaurant options only 20 minutes away in Hermosa Beach. LAX is a 10 minute, $20 cab ride.

Room Tip: Rooms on the upper floor facing the golf course are the best option. Avoid lower level rooms above...

This Marriott was the best value we could find in the are for our business trip. After staying there, it only reinforced that opinion. They have a very nice breakfast buffet...but ala carte offers as well. Also had the concierge room for reward club members. The exercise room was great...much larger than most hotels. Complimentary headsets were also available. Rooms typical nice Marriott. Beautiful views overlooking the golf course if you can get one. Seems surprising you are in the middle of a large urban area. Staff was very very nice. I was able to rent a car dropped off for me and returned at another hotel- with their help. LAX is 10 mins away- taxi with tip around $20. Hermosa Beach and Rendondo less than 20 mins away. Downtown LA 30 mins with little traffic. All good!

Great hotel, very clean, and great service. It was my birthday at the time and the staff even included a card signed by everyone and milk and cookies to the room I would stay here anytime I'm in the area

I stayed here with my partner for a weekend getaway and was amazed at the level of service, comfort and atmosphere, which of course, Marriott is known for. The grounds are spectacular and the hotel itself is located in a quiet area of office buildings next to a golf course. At night, you can hear frogs croaking their melodies in a pond, outside of course, but not in your room. The staff was extremely kind and well informed and the room was immaculate, beautifully furnished and quite roomy. We stayed on a weekend and got a discounted rate of $149.

Room Tip: Be aware that there is a hotel surcharge of $21 per night for self parking, as well as a $12.95 per...

Stayed 3 nights after a long flight from london. Good b&b rate. Very nice area and handy for visiting different surrounding areas. Lovely comfy, large bed. Good breakfast selection. Pool area overlooking golf course & patio area with fire pits were great for evening drinks.

This is a great hotel if you want to explore Manhattan Beach, or you're visiting Los Angeles and want to stay away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The beach is a 5 minute drive from the hotel and most L.A. attractions are reachable within 30 minutes by car in reasonable traffic conditions.

The room we were assigned was nice and quiet and the bed was super-comfortable. The service was excellent throughout.

What I really didn't like was the extra charges for things like internet and water, which normally come for free. Parking onsite was also quite overpriced: $21 for self-parking and $26 for valet per night.

We had a great experience overall but I didn't think it was good value for money.

Got a king bed room here 1 night over the weekend. We checked in early with no problems, the valet and guest service was great. The room was clean, had a weird smell in there but went away after I opened the balcony window. The pool area was nice, heated pool, and towels readily available. The area is good, right by the freeways and shopping centers, and about a 5-10 minute drive to beach and the beach area with the shops and stores. Only thing was that my credit card had random fees after I checked out so just make sure you ask about the pricing of parking, wi-fi, and other services. Overall, a pretty good experience, good value, I would return if i'm in the area.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the golf course.
