We stayed at the hotel for three days and managed most of the surroundings on foot, including several 20-minute hikes to the beach, boardwalk and downtown Manhattan Beach. Fifteen minutes walking north brought us to shopping centers, lots of restaurants and a multiplex cinema. Next door to a car dealer and a Target store. Not a bad location, overall, and quiet. Series of small "homes" each offering several condo-type units. Queen bedroom studio with full kitchen was nice and practical. Great variety of food at breakfast with large eating area, including tables outside near the pool. Great staff all around and very good housekeeping. Most parking spots a bit narrow. Bicycle rentals at $35 per day more expensive than near the boardwalk.

We traveled in May for an MMA event. The full kitchen allowed us to buy and cook our own food which was a HUGE benefit. The property was under construction but they did offer free transportation to a near by hotel if we wanted to use the pool. The continental breakfast was really great. The business center was very small but it fit our needs perfectly.

My wife and I stayed here the day before Thanksgiving and let me tell you, what a great experience at this Residence Inn. It was our first time here and in Manhattan Beach. The hotel is located right off of the PCH and is close to the beach, shopping, and restaurants. Check in was a breeze and the staff was friendly and very professional. Our room was a studio suite and upon arrival was spotless! It has to be one of the cleanest rooms I have stayed in. The small kitchen was perfect for 2 to 4 people. All flatware, glassware, and dishes were provided along with a full size fridge. There was a social hour offered in the lobby on our weeknight stay. They provided a light dinner along with drinks and beer and wine. They also had karaoke as entertainment and let me tell you, Mike from the reservation desk can belt out a great Whitney Houston rendition. Big props to Mike. He made the night fun and entertaining. All in all, it was a great stay and would recommend this to any traveler and especially families with young children. Great job Marriott on this well kept hotel.

We stayed 2 nights in room 1111. The set up is similar with the one in Vegas with one major difference - they use sensors to trigger the lights for the kitchen/dinning and the bath room. WiFi is also free and signal strength is strong.

Location is great - 30 minutes walk to the Manhattan Beach, 15 minutes walk to Ralph and Macy, 10 minutes to Target, 15 minutes taxi ride to LAX.

At check in, as the flight from Vegas on SouthWest was delayed by 3 hours, we were downright hungry and the man behind the counter provided valuable help in securing food - phone for pizza delivery; a walk to Ralph are some of the suggestions. Daily breakfast is provided and we did partake in one of the evening's "cocktail" which was BBQ for that day. Enjoyed both.

What else do I want? An in-room safe deposit box will be nice. A kettle will be good too instead of boiling water in a pan.

Room Tip: Get a room on the upper floor as you will be the one making the noise instead of someone above you annoying you. However there's no elevator and you will have to carry your luggage up a flight of stairs.
