Comfortable, roomy, clean, had all the essentials. Great kitchen, lots of closet space. Grassy areas for canine companions, bag/trash stations provided. Breakfast items were pretty standard, but it was well done. Staff was extremely courteous and helpful (thank you Nicholas). Did not feel uncomfortable walking the dog around the complex after dark, and it seemed pretty quiet. Guest laundry was clean and in good repair. Close to shopping/restaurants in El Segundo. Because it was 2-story individual buildings, it was a little homier and private than a high-rise. Much better for our dog.

Room Tip: Units tucked into the corners of the complex are quieter, get an upstairs unit.

Beds were in good condition and comfortable, not sure when full size became "queen" but seems like all properties of all brands followed suit these days so I do not fault this location. My one caveat was poor housekeeping. Upon arrival room 222 was not fully cleaned, a dirty pillow and leftover cleaning supplies and towels upstairs. Next morning, even though I had requested late checkout and posted the return later sign, housekeeping still knocked on the door just past 11am, which was no big deal, but annoying. AC controls are responsive and TV's were plentiful, however the living room TV was too small, should be bigger due to placement of furniture. All in all I was pleased, breakfast was on par with the brand expectations and I would recommend this location to anyone requiring the Residence Inn in this area.

I traveled to Manhatten Beach with my wife for Memorial Day weekend. We stayed in one of the lower level studio units with a wood burning fireplace. It was a remodeled unit and it was nice. The unit was on the back of the property away from road noise and foot traffic. We arrived early and the front desk was gracious enough to let us check-in and enjoy the free breakfast.

The breakfast was great. It was ten times better than the same Residence Inn in Redondo Beach Torrance area. There was one staff person who made breakfast enjoyable every morning. This woman was able to handle the crowd and personalities of the guest with ease. She also made sure everything was full and fresh. I believe her name is Jazmine an older Hispanic woman. Thank you, Ms. Jazmine!

All of the staff were very friendly and made it a point to greet you with a smile anywhere they would see you on the property. This was not just the front desk staff but everyone.

This location was great it's about a mile from the beach. You can walk or rent a bike from the hotel for $10.00 an hour or $30.00 a day. There is a Target next door if you need some quick items. There are a few restaurants nearby but you probably want to go to any of the nearby beach fronts to dine.

Some of the cons were parking. If you return late in the night you will not park close to your unit. Also having a lower unit be prepared for the noise from above. The walls are very thin. My wife jumped out of her sleep the last day of our stay by a loud noise from above. I WAS NOT HAPPY ABOUT THAT!!!

Room Tip: Get an upper unit in the back of the property, building 12. Get to breakfast two hours before its over.

This hotel was fine - comfortable, safe, clean. BUT, the insulation between the first and second floors are TERRIBLE. We could hear the family above us walking around like crazy - didn't make the stay wonderful. Also, breakfast was great and the staff were very friendly.

Room Tip: not the first floor

Thank you for taking the time to write a review based on your experience, feedback like yours is critical to the continued satisfaction and improvements to the property. First and foremost I am so sorry that you were unable to enjoy your stay due to the noise from other guests upstairs, I cant imagine how frustrating it must of been not being able to sleep due to the constant noise from upstairs. I also wanted to share that we are expecting to go through a fabulous re-imagining of the property later this year that solve all the issues you experienced!

While I understand your hesitation to return, please let me know if you plan to be in the area again and I will guarantee you a top-floor room so you can truly enjoy your experience.

I thank you for your candid feedback to help us improve.

This is one of my favorite properties near LAX. Stayed here for 5 weeks a few years back. Just finished a great experience in April/May 2017. Beautifully appointed new lobby area and I understand they're upgrading most of the rooms as we speak.
I stay at Res Inns all over the country and know what to expect; this property did not disappoint. Wonderfully cordial employees from Front Desk to Maintenence Staff. I had the unique opportunity to stay in a Studio and also one of the 2BR Penhouse Suites. Both clean and inviting. Comp breakfast 7 days a wk is quite good. Several nights a week they host an evening reception.
The key to this place is LOCATION. 20 Minutes Door to Shore (walking!). True! It is about a mile and has some grades, but a healthy individual can casually do it in :20. Once you're in Downtown MB, life is a vacation. Tourists, locals & surfers abound. Great shopping drinking and eating await you. From the famous 90 year old dive bar Ercoles (cash only) to the hi-end Fonz's a block away the food and conviviality is electric. Don't miss Shark's Cove, Manhattan House and FishBar. You can't get a beach scene like this staying in the LAX hotels or even in El Segundo. I work in airports and the extra 1.5 miles each way was WAY worth it in this case.
