My husband and I stayed at the Sea View for two weeks over Christmas. Our children (and grandchildren) live nearby. What a wonderful visit we had. What a find this place is! The rooms are tiny, it's true. But really well designed. We had everything we needed. To wake up every morning and look out at the ocean. (Yes, there really IS a "Sea View.") To be able to stroll down just a couple of blocks to the strand--and the beach--perfect for a morning walk. James and his extremely personable staff are always available to help in any way. A good choice of places to eat nearby. Towels. Bikes. We had a fairly minor problem in our bathroom and it was fixed instantly. And when our flight was canceled and we needed to stay an extra night, they went out of their way to make it happen. Prior to coming here, we tried some of the bigger chain hotels in the area. Some of them might be fancier. The rooms might even be more spacious. But next time we head to Manhattan Bech we'll be staying here!!

Room Tip: The balcony rooms with a view are a little more expensive. But worth it!

My 93 year old Mother, I and my brother stayed here. Bad mistake. Every time someone used the shower, a stench that smelled like a sewer filled the whole place. You would have thought that the maid would have noticed the wet towels and dinner plate that we put over the drain to
try to stop the emission of the awful smell. We told the owner about the problem and really expected some kind of compensation, but it never came. I would not recommend this place for an enemy to stay. The owner is a crook. And there was no "sea view' a small place between two
buildings that were very close together.

We stayed at the Sea View Inn for four nights. The first night, we were in a standard room. It was not great - no view, outdated decor and fixtures, and lots of noise from the street outside. The second night, we moved to a MUCH better room. It was great! Incredible view of the ocean, very modern furnishings, comfortable bed, everything.

We were actually booked at the Ritz for the final two nights of our stay, but decided to stay at the Sea View Inn. The neighborhood was wonderful (we loved Fish Bar and the North End) and the people running the Sea View Inn were so nice and accommodating. We did have to move rooms again, this time to a suite with a fireplace. This room was okay - clean and very spacious. There is not a lot of sound insulation from outside noise, so if you are a light sleeper you may want to bring earplugs.

Overall, we would recommend the Sea View Inn as long as you go for the better rooms. James at the front desk was very helpful, as were the rest of the staff. We especially enjoyed borrowing the bikes and riding up and down the beach. Thanks for a great stay!

Room Tip: Go for a room with a view of the ocean - those have been updated and are very nice.

I stayed at the Sea View for one night for a business training session. I had a great experiance at this place. Customer Service was perfect. Their offices are open late which is very convenient and they are close to everything restaurants and shops. Will totally be coming back in summer. Beautiful views!..

Spent 2 nights at hotel for work. Loved the location - close to the beach, good places to eat within walking distance. There's a cute cafe just downstairs for breakfast. The rooms are a good size and clean. My recommendation would be not to stay on first floor. The noise from the room above was very loud. Internet connection was not great and kept going out during the stay which was hard because I needed to use my laptop for work. Even with those issues I would still come back again.

We arrived 6am after a 13+ hour flight knowing that check-in wasn't until the afternoon however when we arrived we were able to check in immediately - and given a room with partial sea view having paid for a standard. Check out was 11am but our flight was not until 10.30pm - again the staff were so considerate they were able to let us use a room for the day at no cost. I know this was all possible because of low season however nothing seemed to be a problem. It's also a fantastic location - beach, bars and cafes
