“Large Party done right”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 June 2014

There were 12 of us on a Friday Afternoon, right around 4 o'clock when places tend to fill up for happy hour specials. There are NO reservations on "the weekend" here which is Friday and Saturday.

The waiter and waitress serving us were great. Normally when you have a large party you have to constantly remind the staff to bring little things. Our beverages stayed full without reminding, and all our orders were correct and cooked perfectly the first time.

The menu has a variety of things you can choose from so everyone will be happy and find something here.

There is also a nice view of the water out of the windows so be sure to sit as close as possible or even enjoy an outdoor seat under the heat lamp if it's chilly.

It would always be a plus for a restaurant to do separate checks when there are several people with only credit/debit cards. Not many people carry cash.

“Disappointing visit to an old favorite”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 5 June 2014

We have been to this Cheesecake Factory before and always enjoyed it, but this visit it was a bit off. My Sunrise Fiesta Burro was ok, but my wife's French Country Salad was most disappointing with little to it other than a large portion of greens. We complained and they did their best to make it up, but that was the least they could do. It was really heaving that day, and perhps the chef took his eye off the ball.

“The best CCF location in the whole chain”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

For a view of the Marina, and a nice selection on the menu, this Cheesecake Factory can't be beat. It's my favorite restaurant in the Marina. The Cheesecake Factory was started in Beverly Hills, many years ago, and this location followed shortly thereafter.

The staff is attentive, and the food is made to your satisfaction, if you'll give them half a chance. That's not to say I love everything on the menu, but I have my favorites - such as the Jambalaya Pasta, or Black Pepper Shrimp. The classic burger is another favorite, and one of the best in town, in my opinion.

It's always packed here, so be prepared to wait. This was my first introduction to the paging system when I moved to LA. The host hands you a pager that lights up and vibrates when your table is ready. A small playground is nearby, right on the sand. That helps when waiting with little ones. Seating outside is preferable, so you can take in the view of the Marina.

The restaurant is famous for its 30-something varieties of cheesecakes, but the rest of the food isn't bad. The desserts, as well as the entrees, tend to be extra-large, so don't be shy about splitting with a friend. Parking isn't validated, so be prepared to pay $5 for the car. There is NO street parking nearby - welcome to MDR.

Ideally the best time for a visit here is for brunch, or a romantic date. It wont' break the bank, and the food is always good.

“Good, but Very Busy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 30 May 2014

We ate here whilst we were staying at The Foghorn Hotel next door. The restaurant was incredibly busy and we were given a pager to let us know when our table was available. The food was excellent, the menu was extensive and our server was very friendly and helpful. If you'd like to eat outside, be prepared for a bit of a wait.
