“Good location for Yosemite”
Reviewed 25 June 2014

We stayed two nights at this Inn for a visit to Yosemite. The Inn is very easy to find from the main road of Mariposa.

We had a first floor room which was very clean but slightly dated.
The walls were extremely thin to the point you could hear the tv in the next room.
There were no tea/coffee making facilities or fridge and no where within the Inn to get a coffee which was a sham after a long journey as in our case the cafes were closed by the time we arrived.

Breakfast is not provided, as it was a Sunday morning we visited Yosemite we ate at the Burger King which is a short drive from the Inn.
It took us roughly an hour to get to Yosemite from then Inn.

We ate the first night at the diner on the main street the second in the local pizza restaurant which was ok.

All in all good value for money stay and convenient location but slightly let down by the thin walls

My wife and I stayed here on our California road trip. As we were going to be visiting Yosemite National Park we were looking for somewhere close by and 5th Street Inn proved to be a great place to stay. Whilst you check in by contacting the owners by the freephone at the Inn all is provided and the accommodation is very good. When we arrived there was unfortunately a power cut in the area as a tree had fell on power lines...the problem was resolved by a nice bottle of local red wine. The town of Mariposa is very nice and the Gold Coin Sports Bar is a great place to eat. Would recommend staying here with very well kept and spacious rooms and all that you need. Thanks for a great stay.

Stayed a night here after visiting Yosemite National Park. Check in was via an intercom and we were given a code to open our doors. My son's room was on the first floor, it was beautifully furnished and comfortable. Ours was on the ground floor out the back, and had a beautiful bedstead and a whirlpool bath in the room. The bath could not be used late at night or early in the morning. The walls were VERY thin, we could hear people talking and their TV's but everyone settled for the night at a reasonable time. We were however unprepared for their early departure at 5am - TV on full volume and showers going, but perhaps that is normal for the area with people making the most of the daylight in the Park. There was a shower off the bedroom and a fridge. No breakfast on site but found a really nice cafe down the road.

This was our 2nd stay in the Bridalveil room at 5th Street Inn and everything was as perfect as our 1st visit!

The room is spacious, well equiped and immaculately clean. After a days advenuring at Yosemite it provided a perfect relaxed enviroment to recover in. It's air conditioning is wonderful to recover from the heat of the day.

Mariposa is a small town but has great facilities. It's about 30 minutes drive from the park entrance. It's locals are helpful and friendly.

We would definately return and would recommend to all!

My husband and I visited Yosemite National Park weekend 5/17/14,we did not book any lodging as is a custom for us;however this usual practice did not work for us in the beginning as it was biker's weekend so everything was booked! At the visitors we were told by Kyle that there was one room available at the Fifth Street Inn and despite the $134 plus taxes we said ok(we are both retired and tries to keep our travel costs to around $100.We called Randy at the Inn and he handled everything over the phone we never physically saw him but he was just a call away and addressed all and any concern that we had.So we booked the room without seeing it and returned at 5pm to our room,We got our room code and entered the room it was amazingly clean, large ,well furnished and the fridge was stocked with a variety of drinks for sale at a reasonable rate. The large jacuzzi was the rooms bonus!!! Randy also made suggestions on where to dine in the little town.our over all experience at Fifth Street Hotel was very pleasant. We will recommend this facility and would stay here again.

Room Tip: Book early!!

Hubby and I visited this hotel as a base to visit Yosemite. Pretty town, small and very friendly. Hotel was very comfortable indeed. Big comfortable beds and bathroom, very clean and plenty of hot water and towels. Very useful book detailed all there was to do in the surrounding area. Nice touch was the honesty system for the drinks in the fridge. Only negative point was check in and check out was by phone - no personal welcome, but very quick and painless none the less. No problem parking too. All in all a very nice couple of nights stay.

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Mariposa. We heard the 5th Street Inn was nice, so I booked the Retreat room. The room was beautiful, with a huge, high 4 poster bed, a large jacuzzi and all the comforts of home. So clean. We didn't want to leave. Thank you 5th Street Inn for making our long weekend magical.

Room Tip: The room called 'The Retreat' was wonderful.
