Visit the blow hole at the end of Main Street during high tide. See the cliffs etc. Go at different tides to see the changes of light and water action. The trails are easy to find and follow. There is erosion at the cliffs, so be careful about standing close to the edge.

“Some of the most beautiful Coast in the NW”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 October 2013

Mendocino Coast is one of my favorite places to go - lots of options from Glass Beach in Ft Bragg, to the Mendocino Headlands and the hiking trail just south of the Big River bridge. The Botanical Gardens are special too. Warning: it can be windy, there are ticks in the tall grass and brush so stay on the trails and tuck your pants in your socks. Dont gather wood along the road like I did. All seasons have their own special flavors, so support the local economy and spend a few days there.

“Perfect September weather!”

The ocean is amazing and the village of Mendocino hasn't changed in 100 years! Shops are delightful and hiking over the meadows around the cliffs is so peaceful.
Love everything about Mendocino. That is why we go there!

“The weather was fantastic!”

Sunny days - not cold for late September. Couldn't of asked for better weather. One night of clouds that went away the next day.
