My husband and I had a fabulous time at Brewery Gulch Inn this past Saturday through Monday. We were concerned that the weather would be inclement and it would be a long drive for just staying all day and night in the inn. Much to our delight the weather turned beautiful on Sunday, and we ended up not having enough time to just relax on the property. The staff have created a warm, welcoming place where a person, a couple, or family and friends could spend quality time with one another either by themselves or getting to know the other guests. Everything about Brewery Gulch was first rate, with the comfort of the guest in mind. It was so thoughtful to have homemade muffins or rolls, fruit, tea and coffee, fresh water and soft drinks available 24 x 7 as well as the use of refrigerators for any snacks or beverages that guests may bring on their own.
The food both at breakfast and "light appetizers" which was very easily a meal and served as dinner for me and my husband both nights was amazing. The flavors and the presentation is etched in my head and it was of the highest standards. They employ a remarkable chef. And it was fun to taste some of the local wines during the social hour.
I was also amazed at the quantity and quality of the books, magazines, the abundance of dvds, and the games and puzzles. I could spend a year at Brewery Gulch and still have more to enjoy. And best of all the puzzles and games looked like new and had all of the parts and pieces. It was fun starting a puzzle in the evening and waking up the next day to see the progress that some other guests had done. And with the rainy weather in the forecast, I left with a good start for the other guests to enjoy.
The staff set the mood for an enjoyable weekend of escape. They are knowledgeable of the area, polite, and seemed genuinely interested that we had a great experience, and we did.
I plan to stay at Brewery Gulch again when we have an opportunity to return to the area.
