I stayed in this hotel for two-weeks and was happy with the facilities and services provided. The price is high (I paid 115 dollars per night) but is similar to what is charged by other hotels in the area.
The room is small but clean and with wi-fi, tv and hairdryer. There is a small gym with cardio machines and a laundry room with two vending machines on the first floor. Breakfast is very good and there is free coffee and tea available at any time. There is also a small kitchen with microwave and fridge which is useful for guests who stay for longer periods of time.
Although there are some exceptions, the majority of the staff are nice and helpful.
The guest house is not located in the main Stanford campus and is a few kilometres from the city centre. During the week there is a free shuttle bus that stops in front of the guest house and goes to the main campus, but I would recommend hiring a car if possible. During the evenings and weekends it is harder to find transportation. There is a safeway withing walking distance (10/15 min) but the path to get there is very dark after sunset.More
