I've always loved the flavor of Applewood, but at times they used a little too much of everything--sauce, cheese, crust. However, recently they have scaled back on everything, and the result is great. The pizza is now a little bit lighter; the crust is still puffy, but not overwhelming. The atmosphere inside is pretty quirky, as it sort of has a Middle European feel (lots of German beers, etc), while serving pizza. My favorite pizza topping is sausage, which is a flavorful ground Italian sausage, but there are a ton of great toppings to choose from. Applewood 2 Go, located across the street, is also a great option.
