We were one family who rented out this place for 4 days/nights. Sharon, JIm and Jeff really made our stay special. Breakfast and dinner cooked for us each day were delicious. They accommodated a non meat eater very well. The rooms were nicely done and comfortable. We kept the window open and celiing fan on at night and were not hot. We were there in mid June. Shared bathrooms on either end of the hall worked fine for this group of 19 people. Everything was clean. After hiking all day in Lassen Volcanic park, a soak in the hot tub was just the thing for sore muscles. The robes and slippers in each room made us feel special and made it easy to walk to the outdoor hot tub. If you want a drink or cup of tea in the afternoon, you can get it. Sharon had many ideas for hikes, golfing, you name it. We drove back to Sacramento along the scenic Feather River, at her suggestion. Took just about the same amount of time and was much more scenic than I-5! Everyone in our group was delighted with St. Bernard Lodge.
