Great place, and great value. Friendly staff, who are quick, efficient and ready to serve you a great home-made type breakfast.

Breakfast, lunch or dinner, the service is quick and the food is good. A local landmark, you deserve to go at least once for your bucket list!
Chicken fried steak is excellent and it's pretty hard to screw up eggs and toast. Even the steak dinner was pretty darn good for a breakfast place.
Give it a try!

If you are looking for one of the best breakfast options, the Millbrae Pancake House is it. I took a group of eight, we tried a variety of breakfast items and everyone was well pleased with the food. Service was good, a bit slow but understandable considering every table was occupied.

I'll go back anytime I'm in the area.

We stayed at a hotel close to this restaurant for an evening before a flight. Had read good reviews so decided to try it. Arrived a little before 6pm on a Thursday night and only six tables were occupied. Very fast service and food was OK but nothing special. I had a French Dip and the meat was tender but did not have much flavor and did not fill the bun. My husband had the meat loaf and said it was "just OK". His vegetables did not have much flavor. Would probably try the breakfast foods next time since that seems to be what everyone was ordering. Would not make a special effort to return, though.

We stopped here before taking a long flight home. The restaurant is older, very basic and seems like a throwback to a 1960's pancake house. The man who seated us was very pleasant and our waitress was no-nonsense, efficient and good. Sourdough toast was excellent. The jams were too basic (Smucker's flavored pectin - strawberry or grape) and didn't hold up to the nice toast, but other than that, everything was fine. Very reasonably priced.
