For the amount we pay, éxpect some level of service . But no, front office was rude , understaffed and made us feel unwelcome . We are international travellers and wanted a place nearby airport to stay and rest . I have travelled the world, bout have never been made so unwelcome as this place . The room is nice . But hospitality needs to improve if they expect repeat customers .
For those visiting San francisco and doesnt want to end up paying a fortune for a descent stay than The Dylan is your best option. Its a 5mim walk from the bart station were u can take the metro to SF its like a 30 min ride till union square stop (Powel). the neighborhood is safe at night. The hotel itself is nice, rooms are brand new and well decorated, beds are comfy. Breakfast is just what you need to start the day. Free shuttle to and from airport. All and all it was a good stay.
The Dylan was a great place to stay on a 1 night stop-over in SF. Not only was it an excellent price, but the beds were very comfortable and the room was quite nice. They have a free shuttle to the airport, which you should definitely take advantage of! Overall it was a great spot and I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again!
Love The Dylan! It’s a perfect place to spend the night if you have an early morning flight out of SFO. The lobby is quaint and the staff is friendly and helpful. The rooms are modern, comfortable and really lovely! We used the Park, Stay and Travel option, which is a GREAT and hassle free way park your car while you’re away. The Dylan helped make our vacation very memorable. It was easy...and that’s exactly what you want (and need!) when you travel. I will return to The Dylan for all my airport hotel stays, as well as recommend it to anyone looking for a hotel near SFO!
We flew into San Francisco to spend a week cruising up to Yosemite and Lake Tahoe and found the location of the Dylan to be perfect. Having stayed there on a few previous visits to the U.S.A., we chose to do so again as it is right at the Bart station (easy access to downtown), and just a few minutes from the airport (and car rental depots).
All sorts of restaurants nearby, clean and comfortable rooms, nothing flash but a good affordable start to your travels beyond San Francisco.
Breakfasts are ok, albeit with disposable paper plates and plastic cutlery provided, which are a low-rent touch but seem to be everywhere now.
Would stay there again and recommend it, particularly easy location, including free airport shuttle bus.. bravo!
As others have said "good location". I spent 2 nights here before flying to Singapore. I thought the rooms were very attractive and comfortable. Loved the garden areas. Garden area with fountain is nice sitting area especially if you have visitors or friends travelng with you. Lobby area is outside & nice too. Breakfast was a better continental with hard boiled eggs, cheese & ham plus usual. BART & CalTrans station about a block away. So easy access to city or silicon valley area.
Across street is Chipolote Grill, Walgreen's and a Lucky's grocery store. Also wonderful little place to eat called Caffe Roma. One block away is Nothing Bundt Cakes. They have small individual cakes in about 8 flavors. YUM! Hotel staff was efficient and shuttle timely. Only negative is lack of refrigerator in room, especially if you stay several days.
