This small place is charming with wonderful atmosphere. We had eggplant parmigian which was good. Not the best we have had but good.

A cozy Italian restaurant in a block with numerous storefront restaurants, mostly Chinese or Asian in cuisine. Definitely the busiest of all on the block. Large menu and reasonable prices. Many of the patrons appeared to be known by the staff. Food was good but nothing memorable. Portions were good. Sauces appeared to have little to no garlic which we thought unusual. Although tasty, they just seemed to be slightly lacking. Having lived in Italy for several years the lack of garlic and having tomatoes in my Ceasar salad seemed unusual.

I would recommend this restaurant as I enjoyed the meal and when traveling I am happy choices like this. Not 5-star but worth the experience.

We liked O Sole Mio for the very friendly staff, the fact that our fellow diners were clearly local people, that the restaurant was over half full on a Tuesday evening in Thanksgiving week. The food was homey too: that means it was basic, tasty enough but not in line for a Michelin star anytime soon. It was the ambience, the real live jukebox playing old crooner tunes (mostly Italians, of course), the inevitable red checked table cloths that got us. We'd go back again and stick with the spaghetti and meatballs kind of thing on the moderately priced menu.

This is a local favorite. We have been coming to O Sole Mio for years and love it.. The Linguine Salmon and Shrimp is what our family usually orders because it is always perfect. It really hits the spot. There are many great items on the menu. The steak, the lasagna are both great. Their pizza and home made bread are delicious. If you like beer, our favorite is the Heineken draft beer, it tastes like honey. It can get a little busy and the waiters can at times seem in a rush when it is one of those busy nights but we still love it. A good place to go to relax and have a great meal.
