The Great Mall is very big and includes a variety of brand name shops. There are various sit down restaurants such as Mayflower (we like it for dim sum), a food court, and various common areas. Its so large if you walk it you also get some walking exercise in for the day. There is also a movie theater (Century 20)

It is close to VTA station and once BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) station is in place in Milpitas, it will be walking distance to the Great Mall. Completion of BART to Milpitas is scheduled for 2017, 18.

Must visit place, huge shopping mal, good food, all brands available, you cant finish one wing in 2 hours if you start from Gate 1. Take atleast 3 to 4 hrs if you need to visit most of the shops. Even if you do window shopping thats gone a eat quite a lot of time.

This place is not called the Great Mall for nothing. It is very big. All the big brand shops are located withing the mall. They also have a cinema too.
Only problem I found was the toilets, they are very far away. You see a sign, you follow the sung, you have walked a 1/4 mile before you even know it!

Lots of bargains to be had and many places to grab a bite.

A very good area to visit. There are different shops wherein you can get almost everything with lot of discounts. All major brands have there outlets over there, parking facility is available. A good time-pass during weekend with friends, a big area for food court where you can get every type of food. Many shoppers visit this place.

Been going to the GM since I was little, so I'm super biased--sue me :P

Having this mall transform before my eyes over the years (i.e. suddenly theatre, suddenly swanky outlets like Coach & MK, suddenly nicer Starbucks, etc.) has really made me appreciate the new renovations they keep doing to this place.

These outlets are a steal for the area. The only way you can get to outlets this good are to go to the Gilroy Outlets--which are pretty good--or further up beyond Fremont to hit some so-so outlets. You might have to go all the way to Vacaville for decent Outlets, and that's more of a trek since it's not a super easy, circular mall!

Pros:
Always getting better :D
Variety of shops, foods, things to do (i.e. movie, salon, shopping, etc.)
Ample parking EVERYWHERE around it (don't be lazy; walk a little!!!)
Close to other food gems
Close to BART & buses

Cons:
Teeny bopper mall rats that live in the mall (they forget that other people ACTUALLY shop too)
Currently undergoing renovations that might tick people off (jeez, calm yourself)
