Was here for a wedding banquet and the food was excellent. Service is as expected in a large family style service Chinese restaurant. We had the seafood banquet and it was delicious.

Described as 1 of the better (I.e. authentic) Chinese food places in and around san Jose. Get in early before 12 if you want to get a seat, this place gets really busy after 12 on weekdays. I hear it's busy much earlier on weekends. Get your drink orders from the start, as things will get really busy. Once settled, many servers will come to you with trays and trolleys of food and this is when the action starts. This is authentic hong kong, Guangzhou style, which is nice. The quality is good too. The pork buns, chicken feet, mango & shrimp roll and others were in good portions and tasty. Overall a good place for lunch

Been there for a Dim Sum lunch. This was a wholesome and authentic Cantonese Dim Sum experience just like the ones I used to have in the good old days with colleges in Toronto’s China Town.
You have to know what to order and if you have a Chinese speaking acquaintance make sure he/she joins you. At any rate don’t let yourself be bullied by the throngs of ladies pushing food carts just fresh for the kitchen and shouting at you in Chinese (probably Cantonese dialect??). Take your time and know what’s inside each dish (in English, but you’ll probably won’t be understood), then order.

Thank elig

One of the top Chinese Restaurant in Silicon Valley. Mayflower has top quality Chinese food, particular the Cantonese style seafood. Excellent furnishing. But this place is more like a noisy and busy Chinese Restaurant, and less like romantic quiet date type of joint. The price is higher than typical average Chinese restaurants in this area. Morning 11am Dim Sum (Chinese tea cake) is quite crowded and very good quality food, lot of different variety and a little pricey, top 3 in the South Bay Silicon Valley areas. No wonder people usually have to wait for over half hour or more, because the food is good, people keep coming back. The entire restaurant in many weekend dinner time may be taken over for banquet (such as popular Chinese or Vietnamese wedding dinners).
Plenty of parking, unless you are going there during the weekday lunch crowd. Then, you may have to park in the back of the Plaza and walk a little bit.
