“Great South East Asian Food”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

it was a great pleasure to visit the Banana Leaf. Having lived in SE Asia, and having travelled to the area many times, it was a pleasure to eat something this familiar. It was also a pleasure the portions were not as huge as you see in other US restaurants. I do have to note that some of the flavors were a little dull, and could use a little more spices. But that is purely a personal feel.

Restaurant could use a small make over though. It looks a little outdated.

“Banana Leaf for Malaysian & Thai food”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

We had been to Banana Leaf a couple of times and invariably had to wait for a table. The place seems to be crowded always - a sure sign of popularity. On this visit we were a family group of seven and had made reservation. We ordered for Malaysian Iced Tea, Roti-Prata(paper-thin crispy multi-layered pancake), Tai Pou Chicken (fried chicken), Malay Sizzling Chicken, Sambal Beef (sambal sauce coated beef fry), Indian Mee Goreng (noodles) and Pineapple Fried Rice. The food was tasty. The service was swift & friendly. Had an enjoyable dinner.

“Too crowded”

the food is good but too crowded...I made reservation but still have to wait! There are other places with good food but the wait is shorter(but you need to make reservation!)

“I always go to Banana Leaf when I visit California”
Reviewed 9 February 2014

Banana Leaf has a great range of Asian food, and the food is never disappointing. Service is really quick too! Great to eat in or to take away, but be warned, it gets very busy in the evenings so get there early.

“Very good asian restaurant”

Really enjoyed the curry meals here, in particular the curry red beef and the lamb. Only issue is that it is always too crowded.
