I stayed recently at the Beverly Heritage Hotel for a 3-day weekend business/sightseeing trip. The hotel was apparently recently acquired by Preferred Hotel Group, owner of many elegant hotels internationally. We arrived late, and our room was waiting for us. Everything was clean and functional. The steaming heated pools and jacuzzis that we passed on the way to the restaurant looked very inviting on a cool San Jose winter evening, but I didn't get to try them out. Very attractive rates are available through the usual internet reservation sites.
My only complaint is that this hotel is remotely located in an office-park area. There are no restaurants or stores within walking distance. An in-room bottle of spring water is $6.00. The hotel's Brandon's restaurant is good, but expensive. The closest outside food is about a mile away at Milpitas Square, "Silicon Valley's Asian Mega-Mall," which is great if you want Chinese food. We bought beverages there at the Ranch 99 supermarket.
Overall, a very nice hotel and a good value, but I would have preferred an in-town location.More
