Stayed here in July of 2013.
In fairness they were doing renovations to the bar and restaurant so they were were not showing off their best. I have since visited the hotel where a colleague had stayed in Nov 2013 and it since looks much better.
That's not what has made me rate this as terrible though. We had multiple people staying due to training in Milpitas. Many of them complained about poor service and especially the network speed (Wifi) was only 1Mb.
The front desk had a guy called C****r and he was awful with responding to requests and gave different answers about the problems with the internet. I had a Crowne Plaza Loyalty card but left it at home. C****r promised to follow up and never did, same occurred when I changed hotel for the weekend and checked back in. Hotel never got back, despite highlighting this was an issue.
The biggest service issue was the barman who argued with colleagues on two occasions, one was complaining to them when they wanted to split the bill for expenses and mis-charged people, charging other guests tabs on ours. Same guy was rude when a guest turned off the TV.
Will definitely not return to this hotel and will probably avoid Crowne Plaza due to this experience.More
