We decided to delay Mother's Day dinner to avoid the crowds and went to New Shogun on Monday night. Got there a little after 6:00; Happy Hour runs until 7:00!! There were three or four groups in the dining room, a few guests at the sushi bar, and no one in the teppan room. Very quiet and you could actually converse! Service was great, food was served promptly, and the tempura was hot, hot, hot...right out of the fryer with no time under the lamps.
Food here is not exceptional but at Happy Hour prices it's a great deal. And with no crowds you can chat with your server and linger over your cheap Asahi.
