The pool was slimey my husband and daughter both fell and hurt themselves on the first step, the jacuzzi was broken. We rented a suite and paid for a firelplace but the manager never brought the logs that were promised. The tv remote distance work and we were giving a sheet and told to program it ourselves. And to top it off the resturant was closed!!! Never again

I am very upset with this hotel! I stayed for 2 nights and they charged my credit card when it was already paid with cash. I have left A LOT of messages with this hotel and no one will call me back. They have taken $180 dollars from me plus overdraft fee's! They have poor customer service!! I have talked to managers and associates but no one has answers for me. Watch out they are shady people!

Came upon this hotel while traveling on the 58. Compared to the hotels in this area I would have to say they are the best! Far enough away from the train and with the sound proof rooms you are able to have a comfortable nights sleep. Rooms are newly renovated which is a big plus! Pleny of parking for large vehicles

This little oasis in the desert is just as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside. It's resembles a miniature resort without the grand entrance. I think it must be a relatively new property.

The lobby is bright and beautifully furnished. Plenty of windows. Lots of sunlight. The corridors are wide. All inside rooms face the huge meticulously landscaped courtyard complete with gorgeous shrubs, palms, shaded picnic tables and a large heated pool.

The rooms are spacious and oh so clean! The bedding is way above average, and I'm very fickle when it comes to comfortable mattresses and pillows. Frig, micro, coffee maker, and continental breakfast which includes everything except "bacon". Our room was $80 ... can't beat it~!

They have a large bar area where you can have dinner. My husband had some sort of Mexican chicken which he said was okay. I had two skewers of shrimp. Ouch! Overdone. But, hey, we weren't there for the food.

At the front desk was Sam, very friendly and accommodating. I would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We recently stayed 2 nights in a 'suite' with a fireplace and jacuzzi tub. We were primarily visiting the air and spaceport but also looking at the new airplane park in Lancaster (near the Skunkworks) and the Cat House (www.cathouse-fcc.org/) in Rosamond.

The hotel is off the main drag, unlike all the others, and was very quiet. All the staff were perfectly pleasant and responded to requests quickly. The suite only had 1 queen bed, and so we requested a cot for our 3 year old. They quickly brought up a small fold out single bed which was exactly right for us. They also brought us another chair - as there was only one plus a lounger in the room.

The heater worked very well - it was chilly and a snow storm blew through the area. We used the fireplace and took a jacuzzi. The shower was of good proportions and everything was very clean. There was a fridge which kept our drinks very cold and a microwave.

The breakfast wasn't up to much (although our son enjoyed the fruit loops!) and we'd recommend going to the airport for breakfast and lunch.

Sure, it wasn't sparkly new and shiny, but, come on, it's Mojave! It's just great for staying over a night or two. We would go back.

The Mariah Country Inn is not a new property as some have opined, and the property seems a bit dim and shabby overall.

We did have a good night's rest there, however. The breakfast was OK, but the room where it's served was unheated - not a good thing in January.

All things considered, we'd say the Mariah Country Inn is overpriced by about $20.

  • Liked — It was quiet and we got a good night's sleep.
  • Disliked — Rooms were somewhat worn and we feel the Mariah Country Inn is somewhat overpriced.

My husband and I have stayed here twice while traveling to the Bay Area from Phoenix and will stay here again. This is the half way point for us, as we would rather not drive 750 miles in one day.

The hotel, although outdated, is clean, comfortable, and surprisingly quiet. They even advertise the quietness on their website. We had our doubts, but no longer. The included continental breakfast is just like any other hotel chain, which is acceptable.

  • Liked — clean, quiet
  • Disliked — rooms on the dark side, outdated room decor
