First stay here power went out for who day. Compensation/discount none. Second night sighted spiders or webbing in every ceiling sprinkler-awesome for a person with a paranoia of spiders. One towel had black smear marks and starburst wrapper fell out when taken off rack. Ac/heater unit on any setting only seemed to work as fan. Waited half hr on ac and heater setting nothing but room temp air. Made some issues aware day of arriving, next day left and let staff be aware of other issues. In response they replied "with why not tell us this the day before?" I told them "I was but tried to allow some relief due to customer lobby being fairly crowded with people complaing and asking why power was out in most hotel, flickering on and off or low powered in other rooms through out that day" Their response to everything "we are sorry about the power its not something we had control over, hope you stay again with a better experiance." Thought whatever its not a big deal...

Stayed here last month in room with window facing quiet parking lot. Latest stay was room with window facing I-210. Both rooms were clean and comfortable, with latest room having double windows to cancel out freeway noise. This place ROCKS!

Was happy with the location, in a nice quiet spot but very close to major traffic route. Rooms were really nice and clean enough. Breakfast was minimal but good. Outdoor hot tub was nice and warm the first night but took a while to warm up the next evening since no one had been using it. Could use some better blankets but the bed was good. Overall really enjoyed my stay.

It's serviceable if you do t have high expectations. Needs to be better cleaned. The location is excellent and if you are attending business meetings, they give discounts to large companies. The place is near many great restaurants ( within a small walk). The door entry cards become demagnetized. I had to get a replacement. The faucet in the bath is caked with???? No quality shampoo/conditioning product. Towels are rough.
The breakfast was juice, coffee, pastry cereal and milk.

Decided last minute to run up to see the ponies run at Santa Anita, and thought us give the Oak Tree Inn a shot. Glad I did. Checkin and checkout were both fast and front desk personnel were very friendly. King room was clean, comfortable, and roomy. Linens, blanket, and bed spread were so new, there were visible folds as if they just came from Bed Bath and Beyond packaging. Highway noise is barely noticeable if window is closed. I will definitely stay here again.

The Oak Tree Inn in Monroiva, CA was once considered the most elegant hotel in town. It appears that the management is working to restore that title. New carpets and fixtures, much upgrading. Lobby is open, airy and very comfortable. Rooms are clean; beds comfortable. Staff super - both polite and efficient. There is a continental breakfast available in the lobby. Choices are limited but best quality - fruit, pastries, juices, etc.
The one thing I'd like to see is a computer and printer available for guests to print boarding passes and check personal email. Boarding passes especially. I had to solicit help from a friend to print my boarding passes.
While at the junction of two primary traffic ways (Huntington Drive and the 210 freeway) the rooms are surprisingly quiet. Night time noise was minimal and did not interrupt my sleep.
The Oak Tree is becoming once again the most elegant hotel in town.

Room Tip: West side rooms are more quiet.

I stayed during the Breeders Cup, always a busy time for hotels in the area. The Oak Tree Inn offered very competitive pricing (the cheapest I has seen in the area for the dates required) and even reduced my first night stay in line with a search website's price.

Despite arriving at 11.30pm sue to problems with shuttletolax.com, I was promptly checked into room 304 - a very clean room with 2 double beds. The only problem I had with the room was the TV remote stopped working, this was resolved very quickly and efficiently.

The hotel is ideally situated just off the free way and is in walking distance to numerous restaurants and fast food dining in both Arcadia and Monrovia, as well as a few shopping areas.

The breakfast although small was adequate - cereals and pastries, along with juice and coffee, constantly refilled throughout. The eating area however is small with only two tables for a hotel this size.

For those heading to Santa Anita racing, the track is a pleasant 20 minute walk away along Arcadia high street.

In summary, I would not hesiate to recommend the Oak Tree Inn, it provided excellent service and a clean place to stay without the excessive costs of the other hotels in the area. Hopefully i'll be returning next year - thanks to Glenda for taking and adjusting my reservations and the rest of the staff for there friendliness throughout.
