Their excellent service begins the moment you get out of your car. You are greeted by the valets and doormen. It continues at the check-in desk. The rooms are clean and orderly. Bathrooms are well stocked. We had a room on the third floor. Pin-drop quiet at night. Wi-fi worked well. We have stayed here every years since it opened, and plan on coming every year in the future.

Got a deal from LivingSocial for two nights with my family (husband, 2 month old and 7 year old). The hotel is extremely clean. the location can't be beat and the service was excellent. We received two complementary $25 certificates to their C restaurant and took a chance on a hotel restaurant and it was so awesome, we went back to dinner on the same day. The valet parking is expensive but we were surprised to see that they had filled up our gas tank for our long road trip back to Southern California. We also bought tickets to the aquarium which was 2 days for the price of one day for all of us. We took a leisurely pace to see the aquarium and the hotel was close enough that when I had to change diaper, I just went back to hotel instead of use the public restroom facilities. They gave us a partial ocean view room. There are firepits at night where we had desserts after dinner to enjoy the ocean breeze. Right close to cannery Row and awesome restaurants are within walking distance. Also there's bike trail 15 min walk take you to kidfriendly beach, lover's point, also have kayaking there. The small pool was heated and we enjoyed our time swimming. We had breakfast in bed one morning, and the food was again delicious. I got the peach quinoa pancakes, so so good. breakfast dine in service was great, the food was good, but service charge and delivery charge was (20% plus $5). The bathroom was very clean and it had separate shower and tub which was really key because we were bathing my two month old daughter in the tub, while we used the separate shower for us. The staff was very responsive. Excellent excellent service.

Room Tip: Most rooms have partial ocean views. You can ask for room with fireplace too.

Have stayed here twice and been very impressed with the level of service at this hotel. They greet you as soon as you pull in the driveway, starting to take care of your every need before you even get out of the car! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Hotel is centrally located on Cannery Row so it is easy to walk everywhere from there. Rooms are clean and updated, patio over looking the ocean is nice to relax. The only thing is the fact they have full size beds instead of queens, can be a little tight. Monterey is not a cheap place to stay, compared to other hotels on Cannery Row this was a good deal. Pool area is very small, and pool is very generous term, long fountain would be more appropriate! Since I was the only one using it that night, it was ok but I can not imagine it with several people. Work out room has good equipment, nice to have weight machines in addition to treadmills and ellipticals.

Room Tip: When we previously stayed we were upgraded to a partial ocean view room that over looked the patio...

Stayed here for two nights as part of a short California break to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Initial impressions were great, the valet parking staff were very efficient and friendly and the front desk staff even more so. In fact every member of staff we had any interaction with were excellent.

As a Platinum member of IHG's Priority Club we were upgraded to very nice (and large) corner room which although it didn't have any view of note was very comfortable and the upgrade was a meaningful one unlike some for example at many Holday Inns. Great bathroom with separate tub and shower as well.

The hotel was well placed for Cannery Row if you're into that sort of thing (we're not) but also a 20-30 minute walk to the main part of town, even better if you turned right when you leave the hotel and follow the path there's a great walk along the ocean front - we walked several miles which was wonderful and a great memory of our trip. So all in all an ideal location for what we wanted.

We would happily stay here again and it's unlikely we'd even consider anywhere else.

We stayed 2 nights at the Clement having flown in from Europe and driven down to Monterrey straight from SF. Great location in the heart of Cannery Row and on the walkway to Fisherman's Wharf and beyond.Check in experience was excellent. We looked for an ocean view room and after some searching we got a superb spacious room with wonderful rooms. Also got a great restaurant recommendation from the concierge. The Clement has obvious attention to service standards. Service was faultless thought-out the stay. Valet parking is a little pricey. Note, there is very little street parking available although there is a ramp 1 block up from Cannery Row

Room Tip: Ocean view room should be requested. We had 413 which was fantastic
