Though we go to Monterey regularly, we only discovered Bistro Moulin on this trip (thanks to a hi Zagat rating). Since it's close to the Aquarium we specifically made a rather late reservation to not have any kind of parking aggravation. Standard French items (terrine, moules, onion soup) were standouts. The specialty of the evening, cailles (quails) in cherry sauce, was terrific. The wine list is good and quite sufficient. Prices are rather standard for coastal CA for this quality of food; the chef is very hands-on; the service was excellent. Absolutely to be recommended.
