Boutique motel that is very clean, quiet and close to all Monterey attractions. The rooms are very well laid out and updated and the quietest motel we ever stayed in. In the middle of the night you could hear the seals barking. Great value in a pleasant setting. We will definitely return to this motel when we are visiting the Monterey area.

Although very basic, Stage Coach Lodge is a perfect place to stay a night or two as you explore the Monterey area. Comfortable beds, ok bathroom, a small in-room safe, and ample courtyard parking - this covers your basic needs. Breakfast is included, but only a very basic one. The lodge is a 20 minute walk from Fisherman's Warf which is a better bet for decent food than Cannery Row.

Great choice, especially when driving.

This is a simple hotel with a reasonable distance from the main attractions, but for the price charged, it is clearly underrated. The rooms are large, with new furniture and very confortable beds. Like many, the proximity with the parking area is an obvious drawback, but it is what you expect, as well as the breakfast, like any other hotel. But comparing with other options in the area, the cost-benefit is clearly very good.

Good value for money, clean and quiet. Ample parking.

We were only there for one night but were disappointed to find that walking distance to Cannery Row was only '25-30 minutes'.

Breakfast was served too late for us as we were on the road early.

Good place to stay if you don't mind a hike to restaurants or are prepared to drive.

While there was nothing remarkable about this motel, I'd stay there again just for the quiet affordability and friendly staff.

The motel was not far from the main attractions in town, very clean, and all the staff we encountered (cleaning, front desk) were incredibly warm & friendly. I had wished that the ceiling/upstairs floor had muffled sounds more and that the bed had been softer, but overall it was a quiet pleasant stay for our weekend away.

My wish list for this motel would only really be a softer bed, better bedding (tired, hard comforters & flat pillows), and more television stations. Well, a heated pool would be nice too, but the others are things they can actually do relatively cheaply and quickly.

I appreciated the fair price of the sodas and water in the vending machine and loved the little quiet patio back there to read on. We never had a single problem with the connection or speed of the free wi-fi, which we definitely appreciated.

Overall I'd stay there again as the value was incredibly good considering the rates I saw online for other places farther away from the attractions we were interested in.

Room Tip: If you're a light sleeper, you might try an upstairs room... we could hear any steps in the room above us clear as a bell.
