Booked an overnight stay here on a drive down the coast from San Fran to LA - found the rooms represented great value for money compared with those in other locations on our drive.
They were unable to locate our booking on check in, meaning we were upgraded to a lovely room with a sea view as they mustn't have any 'standard' rooms remaining. The room was large, clean and spacious. We arrived on a cold, wet day and were glad to find that the heating system worked well.
The room also included free wifi which worked perfectly.
We weren't made aware that breakfast was included until we stumbled upon the breakfast room when we were leaving, or where the hot tub was, however we didn't have the weather to enjoy this!
We weren't sure how to reach Downtown from the hotel and ate in a nearby Chinese restaurant which was very enjoyable.
Would stay here again.

Dear Guest,

I am so pleased that you were able to stay with us during your recent trip up the beautiful coast of northern Califnornia. I see that you enjoyed the comforts of our Ocean View rooms which are very popular among travelers who visit our hotel. I apologize that you were not made aware of our breakfast but I am pleased that you were able to enjoy it. We hope to see you again during your travels to our beautiful area.

Third floor room in what appears to be the newer section and/or rennovated, across the street from the main part of the hotel was $73/night during a major convention I was attending (meeting area eight blocks away). Very large room, decent size bathroom, with a small sitting bench in front of the large window with a view of the water. Can hear the sea lions bark at night. Very comfortable bed with five pillows; more than one person needs. Elevator and luggage cart, though it was hard to fit in the elevator. Accessible free parking. Breakfast was a little meager; but I only had to try it on the last day of the convention which was a half day. Very close to many restaruants and shops and, again, 8 blocks from the waterfront. I have tended to shy away from Days Inns after some not so good experiences but this one was a pleasant surprise. Service was fine except for when my wife tried to call when I had my cell off; clerk kept telling her I wasn't staying there. Otherwise, no complaints; wakeup calls were on time. No a/c but few properties of this nature have it in this area; it's rarely needed, but I would suggest checking the forcast if warm weather is a possiblity and if driving bringing a fan along.

Room Tip: Across the street on an upper floor. Rooms in the section adjacent to the office appeared older from...
