It is a great place to walk, bike, or run. The only dislike I have it that bikers sometimes are traveling much too fast making it hazardous for those walking and are not paying attention to the traffic on the path.

What a great setup, allowing you to I walk in peace for miles along the most scenic views, and breathe great ocean air. Did it twice with our newborn, and she slept most of the way as the road is smooth and wide enough to avoid any collisions or traffic. Only black mark is the gathering of homeless people right along the path, not making those of us with young children too comfortable.

It's best to bike this trail during off season and during weekdays. Starting in Sand City and biking to the end at Lover's Point is an easy ride filled with beautiful scenery. You can find places to stop and rest (really not needed though) and several places to eat right off the trail.

You can start in Castrovile & go all the way to Asilomar Beach. But the area at the Window on the Bay & in Pacific Grove are the most popular---gorgeous scenery.

Beautiful vistas and fresh ocean air. Nothing like Monterey Bay. Walk from Downtown Monterey to Pacific Grove. Watch for bike riders, and bring a sweater.
