Close to everything in town and highway access, the hotel employees are very helpful and will steer you in the right direction, for whatever you want to do. And it is close enough to the outlying towns as well as the beaches and forests. We took a drive down the highway (1) to San Simian to check the (Elephant Seale) it was awesome, such a beautiful place for a drive.

friendly staff, nice room and decoration, big room and convinent to nearby beach, restaurants, shopping arena, and pretty everything. Breakfast was fine in terms of quality, but the selections were not that suffient compare to its price.

Good service, small breakfast offered, beds and pillows comfy. Clean enough but there was a funny smell in the elevators. Good shower pressure. Parking is free. Nice people at the desk. We just stayed overnight.

This is an older hotel but VERY well taken care of. Bathrooms are recently updated and kept very clean. The beds and pillows are EXTREMELY comfortable VERY clean room. We had a king corner room and his was huge. It is a pretty quiet area. We slept with the window cracked and there is minimal noise. The rooms have no air conditioning but doubt you need it much ever. There is a large ceiling fan above the bed. There is a small wall heater(older again) but it does a fine job heating the room up. Internet, TV, all worked great. Safe, hairdryer, microwave and fridge in room(all newer) We had a light bulb out in the bathroom but it was changed before we got back from dinner. The lobby is very small and dated but I didn't stay in the lobby so that was no big deal!! Breakfast is probably the least of any Best Western I have stayed in. There is no room in the tiny lobby to adequately set up or provide much food. They need to see about working with the Denny's next door to have breakfast there as the Best Western in Salem does. That would really help the problem. The hotel is conviently located to everything. The wharf/cannery row are about 7 minutes away. We were attending baseball games at Cal-State Monterey Bay and it is about 12 minutes from there. There is no exercise area which was disappointing. Also, no washer/dryer. Since this is a older hotel the hot tub is outside near the pool and you walk through the parking lot. It sits next to the road but there is a privacy fence. For the area this was a great price with free parking(big deal in the area)wonderful bed and pillows(better than Hampton) and always clean. However, just keep in mind this is a hotel that was built probably in the 1950's. Has been kept updated, just shows it's age a little like we do!!

Room Tip: Corner rooms are VERY large.

Thank you for your lengthy review and 4 out of 5 rating. The Best Western De Anza Inn was built in 1980 and we appreciate your mentioning how well it is maintained. We are in the process of changing our lobby to better accommodate our complimentary breakfast as Best Western rules regulate our ability to partner with a restaurant not on our property.Thank you again for taking the time to post your comments and tell others about your stay.

The in room refrigerator wasn't working one evening, ask the front desk the next morning about it, when I returned for the day, the staff replaced it with a new refrigerator. That is service!! This is typical of their caring attitude.

Thank you very much for your great review and top rating. We really do care about our guests and want to make their stay as pleasant as possible. Replacing an in-room item that is not functioning properly should be done in a timely manner when possible. I am happy we were able to take care of the fridge issue promptly. We appreciate your letting others know of the level of service we provide.
