We had booked a delux ocean view king and thought that we had the room with window seats. But we had a very small room 105. I complaint but they said it was a delux and that was it. When i had known this i would never have stayed in this hotel because it is not worth the money. Make sure you ask for the room with the window seats. I made me sad because it had to be a special day because of our wedding.

Great location, Lovely room, but very noisy above Cannery Row overnight. Staff friendly, but response slow and breakfast tray was incorrect so downgraded service for these reasons. Quite expensive overall

My boyfriend and I stayed here by chance last year. We were making our way down the coast from San Francisco so only stayed one night but we loved it. Great location close to everything. Great views. We had some wine and cheese on the upstairs deck and we had it all to ourselves.

My boyfriend still talks about how much he liked this hotel.

We stayed 4 nights at the Spindrift Inn and could not be happier with the accommodations. The room was beautiful and spotless, the staff pleasant and helpful. A very nice breakfast was included and brought to our room each morning. Also, a wine and cheese tasting every afternoon from 4-6 that we enjoyed at the rooftop garden several days. Our room was street side so the flavor of Cannery Row was very apparently especially Friday and Saturday nights, but we enjoyed being so close to all the shops and restaurants. The ocean view rooms would most likely be quieter if you are bothered with street noise. Overall, definitely adding the Spindrift to our list of favorite hotels and hope we can visit again soon.

From the moment we arrived to our departure we treated tremendously. First class staff, excellent room. The little things, such as providing binoculars so you can watch the sea lions, otters, birds, etc from your room, the silver tray breakfast service are all just part of a great experience. For the combination of location, ambience, staff and price I don't think you can find a better deal in Monterey.

I made the reservation for this hotel based on other reviews here on tripadviser for my birthday about 2 weeks in advance. 4 days before my birthday my boyfriend got really sick and based on the the hotels 72 hour cancelation policy I decided to cancel the reservation and stay home.
The day before my birthday my boyfriend felt better so we decided to re book. They were able to easily re open my reservation and they offered to reverse the $25 processing fee which is required for all canceled reservations, which I thought was very considerate.

We walked into the hotel and was greeted by wine and cheese! We made little plates and then went up to our room to relax for a little bit. Our room was amazing, definitly go for the ocean view room. We left our windows open so we could listen to the ocean all night and I miss it so much now that I'm home. The fireplace in the room is fun to do and the beds are great!

Loved breakfast in the morning! We got at least one of everything! Bagels, hard boiled eggs, fruit, yougurt, cereal coffee cake, oj and coffee! It was fantastic not having to go out and find something, plus we wanted to enjoy our room!

The little beach in front of the hotel is fun. I highly recomend waking up early and going seaglass hunting if the tide is out. Also look for seals on the rocks early in the morning with the binoculars in the room :)

Pros:
Excellent staff.
Will store your luggage and park your car if you arrive before check-in.
Breakfast service is essential to the experience.
Room interior design and furniture is very romantic and comfortable.
Walking distance to great food on Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium.

Cons:
The night club next door blasts music until 2am.

Situational Con:
Had I known the Cherry's Jubilee car show was going on during my stay I would of chosen an ocean view room over a Cannery Row view room. There was an incessant amount of loud cars, people and radio stations until 11pm.

Thank you very much for your comments; we appreciate all of our guest’s feedback concerning their experience, and we consider it of great value and significance to our business.
It is always gratifying when the effort we put into the cleanliness of our hotel, and the maintenance of our rooms, and especially our service, is appreciated by a guest. Thank you very much for rating those highly.

It is our ultimate goal to provide a comfortable, well serviced stay to all of our guests. By taking care of our guests’ vehicles, providing a complimentary continental breakfast, and offering the most romantic setting we can, we work very hard to make sure that all of our guests are well taken care of.

Cannery Row is a high energy environment with hotels, shops, restaurants, and evening establishments all sharing the area. Although there is no night club next door to the hotel, there are a few within close proximity. The night clubs on the Row are required to keep their windows and doors closed when they are open. When the hotel staff is made aware of noise problems or heasr a problem, we will contact these businesses, immediately, to address the issue.
The Cherry’s Jubilee event is an annual classic car show put on for the benefit of the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital. Events are held around the Monterey Peninsula, including at Laguna Seca and on Cannery Row. Usually, when a reservation is made, our reservations staff take care to inform our guests of any events happening in the area – especially ones that might have a direct impact on their stay. We also re-contact our guests the week of the event as a reminder. We regret that this guest was not properly communicated with, and as a result their stay is negatively affected.

Should any guest have an issue that they would like to speak directly to a manager about, please do not hesitate to give us a call.
Thank you again; all comments and feedback and appreciated.
