I can only repeat what recent reviewers have said. We stayed here for four nights during our trip along the coast between San Francisco and San Diego. It is our favourite hotel of the holiday. It is in a great position as you come off Route 1 and in order to walk into town for the local restaurants, pubs and Fishermans Wharf for the Whale watching (approx 10 - 15 mins). The outdoor pool is heated and is surrounded by rose bushes, there are also colourful flower borders around the restaurant patio areas. The latter includes a fire pit which makes it an attractive area to sit at any time. The rooms are well decorated, very quiet with a very comfortable king size bed. The room includes a ceiling fan above the bed, A/C, double coffee making machine and good bathroom with quality toiletries. There is plenty of parking and you can also hire pedal cycles from the hotel to cycle along the coastal path to Carmel.

If you like craft beer and live music the Bull & Bear PH 5 mins walk away is worth a visit.

Very minor point and the only slight fault I could find, if pushed, was that the towels could be thicker.

Room Tip: All appeared very quiet, first floor near pool was very quiet.

My husband and I have turned up to the hotel and we checked into our room which hadn't been cleaned since last person stayed a dirty top, dirty bathroom and used cups. The management got someone up to clean and provided a voucher to cover some of our breakfast. I then had to go down and get the room keys all disabled as I didn't fee safe in the room. The next morning we had a lot of issues using the voucher for breakfast as their tills where not working and it wasn't until we argued with staff that we got to use it. That evening we came back to the room which again hadn't been cleaned. The staff told us they would send someone up and when asked what should we do when someone is cleaning the room again should we wait outside they said we could use the restaurant facilities AT OUR OWN COST.
This is one of the only bad reviews I have ever had to write for a hotel and I am very disappointed with the service and response I have received.
I would not recommend this hotel to others purely based in service.

The rooms are arranged in a semi circle around the lobby and Esteban restaurant and bar. The rooms are large with two double beds and have a Coffee maker and room safe , large TV and free Wi-Fi. Happy hour was from 4.30pm to 6.00pm with discounts on certain drinks and the bar menu. The breakfast was superb with a good selection of hot and cold food. The staff were very friendly and we had a personal send off to our tour coach from the manager and staff.
I would certainly recommend this hotel.

Enjoyed a very pleasant and relaxing stay at Casa Munras. We decided to stay here given its convenient location walking distance to Fisherman's Wharf, Cannery Row and the Monterey Bay Aquarium. A big plus is that the hotel is pet friendly. The hotel has a B&B feel, the rooms were large and very charming with a contemporary feel, it seemed to be recently refreshed or well maintained. We had a room with hardwood floors, spacious bathroom and very comfortable king bed. The property is very large with many rooms although it didn't feel that way, it has a nice pool, fitness center and Spa. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, even offering complimentary cookies on check in and aqua fresca. The hotel offers a nightly happy hour and other events, and has a nice looking restaurant, none of which we had a chance to take advantage of. Overall, probably the best hotel I've stayed at in Monterey.

We had a very positive stay at Casa Munras. Check-in was quick and easy. We'd requested a quiet room and received a well-appointed and peaceful room at the back portion of the property. We liked the wood floors, very comfortable beds and high quality toiletries. It was absolutely silent at night and we slept well. Parking is motel-style, in front of the rooms, but our room was down a small alley where there were no cars coming and going.

Casa Munras is in a great location. It's a quick walk to all the downtown shops and restaurants. It's a very short drive to Dennis the Menace Park (essential if you're traveling with kids) and just a bit longer to Cannery Row and the aquarium. We liked being right in the center of town.

The pool is great. There was hardly anyone in it when we visited, so we practically had the whole thing to ourselves. It's just warm enough to be welcoming in the cool Monterey climate. Towels are provided at the pool, so no need to bring your bath towels.

One of the nights we were there, we ate at the hotel's restaurant, Esteban. The restaurant features a charming patio with fireplace and is right off the hotel's front entrance. We had a great tapas dinner there with wonderful service, which was perfect for our special occasion. The kids were also thrilled to the have the company of Esteban the Cat, a sweet black & white cat who likes to nap on the wall near the restaurant. We also enjoyed the fresh cookies that are provided in the lobby each day at 4:00pm. Overall, we had a great stay and I would absolutely return to Casa Munras on our next trip to Monterey.

Room Tip: If you are concerned about noise, request a room on the second floor away from the pool and restaurant.
