My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights as we made our way from SF to LA. A warm and inviting welcome was given to us by the desk clerk. Check in was quick and we were in our room overlooking Morro Rock within minutes. Our room was big and airy and the bed was really comfortable. The breakfast choice was plentiful with plenty of seating for anyone who was using the dining room. Really nice touch was that the front desk will lend you a pair of binoculars if you want to watch the wild life in the bay or on the coast. Would definitely stay here again.

We had not intended to stay in Morro Bay but needed to stop, so we just dropped in here. Staff was very welcoming and helpful, gave us a good rate on a nice room. The spa was welcome. Breakfast had a good selection. Morro Bay itself is a quiet town, good for walkers and nature lovers who don't expect SoCal fun in the sun.

The hotel is OK (over-priced and fairly basic/standard) but Morro is not so do not go to the hotel.
Morro is one of the most miserable places we stayed - not just because of the mists and cold (in June) but also the lack of prom and places to wander.
Help-yourself breakfast was pretty good.
Good range of free DVDs for family.
We expecyed more for the money we paid.

I'm sorry the weather was foggy but summer on the coast will usually be like that during June, July and August due to the heat inland. Our hotel offers many things of interest to do in Morro Bay such as kayaking, sub-sea tours, bicycling, a visit to the Natural History museum or simply relaxing on the beach. Morro Bay has many nice gift shops and great restaurants all within walking distance to the Embarcadero Inn. Maybe re-visit in the fall where the coast has a great abundance of sunshine and warmer weather. We also offer maps for hiking, biking and bird watching at the front desk along with complimentary binoculars if you just ask. Thanks

My teenage kids got a kick out of this one. We spent the night here based on recommendations from the great people on Trip Advisor. I would say it was exactly what I expected. Quirky rooms with 1970's drapes, 1980's fixtures, 2000's apartment style carpet. All, however, clean. You can tell there is a great sense of pride of ownership here. They make damn well you don't smoke anywhere close to an area where the stink will travel into a room (thanks for that!).

The hotel is located across the street from a harbor, so it had a nice view of the harbor. The street, however was empty, I think I counted 2 cars went by before I dozed off.

Breakfast buffett is in a very small room that will get you a piece of toast, some cereal, and something to drink.

Nice private balcony.

Yes this is a place that I recommend to everybody that wants a place a little different (and cheaper) than a Hilton or etc.

I found The Embarcadero by mistake, was pricing hotel on the internet and found this gem! As soon as i arrived i knew this was a top notch place, from the staff greeting me and my wife, to the private elevator with room key entry only. Huge bedrooms with every thing you need. the partial balcony was great to watch the sunset. free DVDs movies to watch in your room. on second floor Very cool hot tub room with a large bathroom attached. The complimentary breakfast was much more than we expected...very nice comfortable dining room with fireplace and lots of cereals, bagels, cinnamon rolls, yogurt, juices with all the fixin's. The coffee was great, tea and hot chocolate also. This was by far the cleanest place I have ever stayed in. The Embarcadero Inn sits right on Embarcadero within walking distance to all restaurants, shops and attractions, we didn't have to worry about taking the truck and parking. We plan to make this "our place" to stay whenever we go north to Moro Bay or Cambria. Tjhank you so much for a wonderful stay!!! The Carbajals
