We loved the location for the price!!! It was right next to the French bakery that we visit every time we go to Morro Bay and the view from our room was excellent!

We were looking for a reasonable priced room in our favorite location that was dog friendly. Booking the room was easy on-line and all employees we encountered were friendly and helpful. We were in room 15 and had a wonderful view. We were told over the phone the room was only a bed so we were prepared for a small room. We were only staying one night so it was perfect for our stop. We would stay there again with our dogs.

My loving partner and I read the reviews on tripadvisor and other travel sites. We did see some bad reviews and a lot of great ones. Take note, read between the lines before booking site unseen. the location is nice for a parking lot and the rooms are very small.
The one poster was right smelled like mold and the bed was old. The restaurant in front was ok very pricey for what you got. We love the Central Coast and Morro Bay, this time we took the time to look around at otherr hotels for our next trip,as this place was not as it seemed as on the internet. I can't see how there where so many other great postings on Tripadvisor making this old motel seem like the tashmahal. IT"S NOT!

It is always a surprise when we get reviews such as this one when the guest does not complain when here. Also, in searching our records, we don't find any guest that stayed here with that email address. The description of our rooms states that they are small in a great location. The rooms are extremely clean - we wash the rugs weekly, we encase the blankets in sheets, we wash the bedspreads, we wipe down walls. The TVs are older models. We compensate for our room sizes by their cleanliness as well as our pricing. There is no mold, but I am sure that because we are on the sea that the smell of fresh air could confuse a visitor from the Los Angeles area. The restaurant next door is not a part of our hotel.

We spent 5 nights at the Bayfront Inn and were very satisfied with our stay. First off the location is excellent, you could not ask for better. It's located right across from the harbor and has beautiful views of the bay and the rock. You can easily walk to most all the little shops and restaurants next to the bay. Parking can sometimes be hard to find when this area is really busy so it's really nice to know that you don't have to worry about that when you stay here. The rooms were small but larger than I expected after reading the reviews. The place is an older building in process of upgrading but everything worked great, was clean and met our needs. The beds were very comfortable and maid service made them up daily and provided fresh towels when needed. They had an in room refrigerator which was very nice to keep drinks cold, a coffee machine, TV with basic cable and HBO, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. There were also curling irons and irons for clothing available on request. Bottom line about the rooms, if you're looking for perfect 5 star luxury, this hotel isn't for you but if you're looking for a clean, affordable place that meets all of your basic needs with a few nice perks, wonderful staff, and an excellent location, it will be perfect. They have a very nice patio and viewing deck that you could hang out at and enjoy the view. It's also large enough that you could invite another couple over to share a bottle of wine and watch the sunset. The owners are a very sweet couple that are down to earth and very personable and attentive to your needs. They have a place called the galley that has a microwave, ice machine, fresh made coffee, and fresh apples. They provide some unique perks, we had cute little bags of fresh salt water taffy on our beds upon our arrival and the owner was nice enough to give the kids a little extra before we even got to our rooms! Also upon check in we were given certificates for free cinnamon sweet rolls for each morning of our stay. The sweet rolls came from the restaurant Frankie's and Lola's that is right next to the hotel and were very good. We didn't get a chance to eat breakfast there but heard lots of good things about it and plan to next time we stay. The value is excellent and in my opinion can't be beat. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I know and we plan to stay at this hotel regularly for many years to come.

I have been a regular traveler to Morro Bay over the years. This trip I stayed at this wonderful inn. It was located right across from Morro Rock and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. The room itself was smaller than others places but I loved how they used the space they had. Very European and a nice change from most places. I would recommend it hightly.

Staff were helpful and friendly. The carpet was damp and the room smelled of mold. I also felt that the room was unclean. The view was not great. Located near a power plant. Reasonable rate.

As this guest was leaving we asked how the "stay" was in our little motel...she told us that the carpeting felt damp and that the room smelled musty. I apologized and asked why she didn't say anything to us as we could have moved the guests, but she did not respond. Immediately, because we had another guest booked in this jacuzzi room, I went to this room with my maintenance person because I feared that the jacuzzi tub may have sprung a leak. First of all, the room did not smell of must but of the sea - we are on the sea. Most important, the rug was not damp. We can only guess that after using the Jacuzzi Tub this guest dripped water on the floor. We have gone into this room daily to check the status of the rug. Nothing. In fact, our most recent guests, CHPs couldn't stop raving.
