“A really great B&B”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

My husband and I were part of a 4 couple weekend in Morro Bay and we picked the Marina Street Inn. It was perfect with the 4 rooms so we took over the whole place. It was the first experience for all but 1 couple at a B&B and it was a GREAT experience. The owner, Claudia, and her companion Trap could not have done more to make the experience a good one. Breakfasts were always good and innovative. The location makes it easy to get to the embarcadero for dinner, etc., and shopping. Each of the rooms is different in decor which added to the excitement. The bathrooms are spacious. There is an outdoor patio -- with a fireplace should you need it -- which was relaxing with all of her plants and garden. We enjoyed wine and appetizers on the patio and it could not have been more pleasant. Claudia pointed us in the right direction for dinners, exploration of the area, and shopping. Trap is a perfect companion and adds to the experience.

Staying at the Marina Street Inn Bed & Breakfast is like staying at the home of a favorite aunt!! Claudia could not have been more welcoming and gracious ( nor her lab, Trap!!). She was right on with her restaurant recommendation for dinner, as well as sites to see on our drive up to Carmel. The inn is in a great location and is very nice and " homey". We thoroughly enjoyed the scrumptious breakfast and conversation the next morning with Claudia, before our departure. Claudia is one of a kind and genuine, not an innkeeper putting on an act. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Morro Bay and with Claudia & Trap!!!

This is a really cool B&B. Rooms are great and location is cool. I would recommend this place totally. Owner was a character and really a great person. She did everything to make sure all was ok. Note that the breakfast offered was at 9AM; you can be about 30 minutes late, but that is it. The table you eat at is one big table, not separate tables; so when you go down to eat, you sit with other people, you do not have your own table. Breakfast was great, very healthy. Our bed was very squeaky. Loved Trap, the house lab :) Restaurants we recommend: Harada Japanese in Moro Bay, the Sow Ear in Cambria, Moonshine Beach Bar and Grill In Cambria, Galley Seafood in Moro Bay. Embarcadero Grill Bar is cool... lots of beers and stays open late! We saw about 45 whales in the ocean on coast in Cambria (bring binoculars), this was May 1st. We also went to Soto's Market Place (Grocery store) in Cambria and Lucie had a absolutely wonderful picnic setup for us to take to a winery. We took our picnic from her deli and went to Robert Hall Winery in Paso Robles, sat in the heat and had wine. The best holiday in some time. Note if you are driving through Santa Barbara to stop by Stella Mare's for some french food, way way yummy!

Room Tip: Any room is good

We've been coming here for years. Not just a nice, quaint B and B, but a GREAT B and B to stay at. Each room has it's own theme, and the breakfasts are fantastic. I'd recommend this place to stay for anyone who want to go visit the beautiful central coast.

My first experience staying in a Bed and Breakfast, and what a great one it was. Claudia is a gem. She sets high standards for other B & B's, 5 star accomodation without a doubt.
The rooms are exceptional, breakfast is absolutely amazing and so well presented; 5 star quality all around!!!! Her garden is beautiful. Can't forget to mention TRAP her wonderful dog.
Location, close to everything! Walking or driving is a breeze.

Room Tip: Doesn't matter what room, go for it....A wonderful Spot.

We have stayed at Marina Street Inn for 15 years & it is like coming home each time. Claudia hosts a beautiful, well located Inn near the Embarcadero, shopping, restaurants & much to do in the surrounding areas! Her breakfasts are wonderful & creative with a beautiful setting & flowers from her garden. I promise you will want to return!

Claudia and her dog Trap make the bed and breakfast feel like you've just gone to see family. Morro Bay has a lot to offer. My favorite was all the wildlife up close. Definitely do a kayak in the bay.
