Good food. Friendly, upbeat waitress. Cash only.
Now open for dinner too. Most menu items available all day.
Outdoor patio is smoke-free and dog friendly.
Some of the local hotels may have a discount coupon.

“homey, delicious diner!”
Reviewed 14 August 2013

My daughters and I ate breakfast at Kitty's Kitchen twice during our stay in Morro Bay. It's a small, cute, friendly restaurant that takes pride in serving home made, fresh food. The little patio has a wooden miniature vignette depicting a town complete with cemetery and the girls enjoyed looking at it while we waited for our food. I tried the daily specials--strawberry French toast and raspberry pancakes--while my daughters enjoyed fresh banana muffins and fried potatoes. The first day one of my daughters tried the raspberry pancakes and didn't like them (she's picky and the raspberries were a bit tart). The waitress noticed that she wasn't eating and brought her a short stack of plain pancakes at no charge. This attentiveness and generosity really won us over. Like most places in Morro Bay, this is slightly overpriced diner food, but well worth it in my opinion. We'd definitely go back.

“Great food, great value”
Reviewed 24 July 2013

We arrived in town in late afternoon. Hotel recommend Miss Kitty's. We weren't disappointed. Personal & friendly service. All day breakfast is always a hit. We all left full and satisfied. The hotel gave us a card with their menu on it. We happened to have it on the table, and our server (possibly the owner) noticed. We were given a discount because of the referral. A pleasant surprise for sure.

“Service with a smile!”
Reviewed 21 July 2013

Most meals are pretty hearty. The chorizo burrito was spot on yummy, the waitress has been there for years and despite the constant barrage of customers, she keeps on smiling and joking. If you are a larger group, be prepared to wait, sit outside or split up as its tight quarters. But, don't despair your party will be served up one of the tastiest breakfasts in town!
