Staff is awesome. It is a coffee shop and that is the type of food you are getting but it is good coffee shop food. The staff is great and friendly to everyone.

“The pie!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 January 2014 via mobile

We got a tip in the morning from the gal at the Sun-n-buns bakery that this was the best clam chowder in town. We were not disappointed. So good that a few hours later, we went back for pie! Yum

“Casual Diner With Good Food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 December 2013

We enjoyed our dinner here, having the fish and chips and grilled calamari. When my wife couldn't decide which soup to have, the server brought a small sample of each. We both ended up having the split pea which was excellent.

“Great service, good food at a good price!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 14 November 2013

We went on a Sunday morning so it was a bit busy but were seated within 5 minutes. The waitress was very busy but friendly and courteous so we left a nice tip. The food was about as good as a Denny's but well priced for Morro Bay. Our coffee was filled frequently.
The Eggs Benedict were nothing special. The hollandaise sauce was runny and flavorless. You could tell the corned beef hash was right out of a can and heated up. The hash browns were excellent and I would go back again just for them.
There were a lot of locals there and people wandering over for their free meal from the hotel across the street. The atmosphere was as you would expect a breakfast house to be. I would return and next time for dinner...

“Best Fish and Chips in Morro Bay.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 September 2013 via mobile

The Hungry Fisherman in Morro Bay, a stop worth making. The Fish is always fresh, and the portions, all I can say is I have never left there hungry. A very casual little place, with a friendly staff, and a nice menu. Prices are in line with other restaurants of its kind. It is not fancy, but it's clean, and the food is awesome. My Wife and I drive over there at least once a month for lunch, and to us it is worth the 140 miles (each way) for a great meal.
