We rented a Woodland Room for 2 nights during a big reunion held elsewhere. Our room was at the end of the drive through the Chalets cabiins and Woodland 3 plexes. It was lovely, quiet and restful back there with no traffic noise. The Woodland rooms are attached to other Woodland rooms- 3 per set. They have no kitchens, but are roomy. They have a big closet and lots of drawer space. We never heard noise from the rooms on each side of us even though there were children in the other rooms. We took a photo walk at Lake Siskiyous one morning. We did not have much time to use all of the facilities. But we saw people golfing, playing tennis, hauling kayakes and hiking. The restaurant was a disappointment; otherwise, we found the resort to be a wonderful place. We'd enjoy coming back with extended family and using the recreational facilities available.

Room Tip: Woodland room 218 is at the end of the road. It has another Woodland on each side. Perhaps you would...

Stayed in 1 bedroom lakeside chalet-worth the upgrade, accomodates 4. Clean and spacious. Staff friendly. Beautiful setting in the pines overlooking pristine lake with many hiking trails. No motor boats on lake. Restaurant good-has nightly specials/happy hour in bar, overlooks the golf course. Town of Mt Shasta near by, drive to the mountain about 30 min. No pool, has tennis court. Need chains in winter for !-5.

Room Tip: Lakeside chalet best

I had the pleasure of staying at the Mt Shasta Resort from 8/7/13 to 8/12/13. The accomedations were excellent and the staff very friendly. It was relaxing, quiet, and peaceful, and the Mt Shasta SPA was within walking distance from the chalets. Views of Mt Shasta are right outside of your door. I would recommend this resort to anyone.

Room Tip: All of the chalets are duplexs and like new. They have some on the lake, ( up on a hill ), and some...

Spent a week at the Mount Shasta resort with my wife, my 4 year old daughter and and a 15 year old nephew. Really enjoyed the venue in the summer months where we were well located to take advantage of the lake for a nice morning swim and other outdoor activities close by like mountain biking and trekking. The lake side cabins are very comfortable and we were able to cook dinner there most of the evenings. Management is helpful and were able to facilitate blenders and cooking pots when we requested them. Overall great family venue.

Room Tip: We enjoyed being in the cabins in front of the lake

Our large group kicked back and luxuriated in their lovely chalets. Every amenity you might wish for is there. One woman said, "This is like playing house, only this is nicer than mine."

One problem is that it is a very long, uphill walk from the chalets to the Highland Restaurant. Two of my group have limited walking ability. To help us out, Bonnie came to work early in order to drive these folks to and from the chalets to breakfast. That is REAL service. Thank you, Bonnie!

The restaurant offers a discount to hotel guests and food was excellent. Guests would have liked to stay longer.

We loved our stay at Mt Shasta Resort! One of the nice things about this resort is that it feels like you are out in nature. Lots of trees around, close to Lake Siskyou, with walking trails to the lake. No sounds of the train or highway here. The rooms have an added touch of class compared to the other options in town. Nice furniture, big rooms, comfortable bed, big fridge, & the cabins are nicely separated from each other. The staff was very helpful and kind.

We stayed in one of the Woodland rooms (no kitchen) and were impressed with our room. There are picnic tables and BBQ grills available close to the rooms and you can buy an inexpensive pass to a gym in town if you like. The room would have been nicer if there was a window in the back door for more light and to see the forest, and the cleaning products used were a bit strong smelling when we walked in the door. Lakefront doesn't mean that you can just walk down to the lake, you are well above the lake. There is a restaurant available across the street by the golf course but driving into town or BBQing is a better option. Overall we would stay here again.

I have stayed at this resort twice. Once in one of the Chalets and once in the premium woodland room with jacuzzi tub. I enjoyed my visit so much the first time, I had to go back. They are cottages/cabins with really nice accommodations set in the middle of natural terrain, trees, wildlife, etc. and within 5 - 30 minutes drive to many of what Mt Shasta has to offer: Lake, swimming, Hiking, waterfalls, peace gardens, meditation, shopping, gas station, etc. We could have been there for weeks.
It was beautiful all around and the hospitality was amazing.
