For a reasonble price, you get awesome views, good service and what was hands-down the best pool/spa combo of all the similarly priced hotels I stayed in on a recent trip. No seriously, their pool and spa rocked my crippled (I have a back injury and water is a good thing) world well above and beyond that of 4 others I sampled in the same trip.

Anyhow, the staff here are extremely accomodating and sweet. The continental breakfast is average. The grounds are pretty nice for a Best Western. The view is great. The only real negative is that the walls are PAPER THIN (eew) and the interior decor of the rooms is pretty utilitarian. Overall, I would come back.

This place was amazing. I can't believe we have missed for as often we travel through to Oregon. The rooms were great. The pool is amazing. The bar was great. The butter nut squash raviolis were De-licious!! Never mind staying in Redding on my way north. This is the new hot spot for rest and relaxation.

A convenient stop when traveling south, this motel close to Interstate 5, has been our choice for several years. At about $150.00 for the average room it seems a little high when compared to other similar motels until one considers the included breakfast. It is a full buffet with scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and multiple other choices enough to satisfy the children and even vegetarians. It has always been well attended by staff and certainly the dinning experience is quality with even the treat of views of Mt. Shasta when the weather allows. Recently my wife and her sisters chose this location to have a meeting. All agreed that it was an excellent choice for their two day confab. In the past we have stayed during the winter and the indoor walkways from outlying rooms to the lobby, restaurant, sports bar, pool, etc. is a real comfort. Dinners here are also excellent. Recently installed heating and cooling units make the rooms comfortable regardless of the weather.

Found this place when making a trip to Oregon a few years ago and love it! Has a great lodge feel to it that is carried out through the entire property. Rooms are good size with vaulted ceilings, tables, chairs, large dresser, fridge and very nice flat screen tv's. large indoor heated pool and hot tub, on site bar that always had people, and a good onsite dining as well. The breakfast provided for free is one of the best I have had with several selections for hot food, and a variety of other choices as well. We always make a point to stay here when we can.

This is the best Best Western hotel I've seen, to date. The rustic tones and abundance of wood in the structure (and rooms) suit the Mountain-scape context perfectly. A room with a view of Mount Shasta is the most striking feature. The room I stayed in had a slanted roof, very unusual, and had the feel of a ski lodge in the Swiss Alps - I've never been to the Alps, but this is how I'd imagine them to look and feel. The ambiance is the most salient feature, but the bed is comfy, too...and the service congenial. While it may not be optimal for business meetings, I highly recommend this hotel, especially for vacations--user-friendly for all: families, couples, friends, and solo-loners.

Room Tip: Make sure to get a room with a mountain view.

I frequent this hotel for both work and pleasure. With the log cabin architecture you definitely experience a cozy lodge feeling next to the beautiful Mt. Shasta. The hotel also has introduced modern amenities with granite counters in bathrooms, flat screen TV's and nice leather furniture. I often ask for a room that faces Mt. Shasta on an upper level. If you do, you will be rewarded with an awe inspiring mountain that seems to grasp your entire view out the window. The hot tub is at a perfect temperature for relaxing your muscles after a hard day at work or play on Mt. Shasta. The breakfast provided at the hotel is outstanding with a choice between regular eggs or eggs florentine and all the other goods that an excellent buffet should have. I love to grab a seat next to the fireplace and take in the morning views. The bar is also great with large TV's and great dinner food if you choose to eat in. Great Place!!!

Room Tip: Ask for a room on an upper level with a view of Mt. Shasta.

The hotel is nice comfortable. It has a log cabin feel to it as the structure is all wood.

The downside is that there is a highly active railroad close to the hotel. At night trains kept passing and for god knows what reason kept blowing the horn. It was a little difficult to sleep at nite.
The mountain view room has a nice view of Mt. Shasta. The breakfast was good and the dinner was also nice.
