“Trinity Alps Tour June 2014”

A perfect location for our automobile tour to stop to rest for the night. Everyone had a fabulous view of Mt. Shasta when we awoke in the morning. The hotel was not accommodating for late night socializing unfortunately. The hotel is easily accessed from I-5 and there are beautiful scenic drives in the surrounding area. A great find!

My wife gives the place a 4 and I give it a 3 (for what it is... Comparing similar classes of motels) Very clean, on the roomy side. Bathtub was uncomfortable. We were in room 234 and it fronts on the freeway and railway... Which is very evident. The fan we used for white noise tended to rattle. Try to get an odd numbered room and you will be facing away from the freeway. (We got the last room for the night so didn't have a choice.) Bed was comfortable and the chairs' padding was very thin. The breakfast was good. They used fresh veggies in their eggs and the coffee was decent. No convenient elevator to this part of the hotel for somelone who needs that.

This place is my favorite place to stay in California! Maybe anywhere. I have stayed here off and on for 20 years and grow to love it more each time. The staff is accommodating
beyond words. I have made many special requests over the years and it is always a YES we can do that! Whether it is getting me my favorite mountain viewing room or carrying luggage that is too heavy for me or just greeting me with a smile or comment it is always a positive attitude that makes me smile. The Tree house Inn is a place you can call home year after year. The best part is that you can be anywhere in the area from this centrally located place. Castle Lake, the Mountain, downtown and the Shasta City Park are just minutes away. AND, if you do have business to take care of while you are away, they have computers in the lobby for your convenience-free! This is a place where you can worry less about what is lacking and just feel the love.

Room Tip: Treat yourself to the ones facing the mountain. If you want perfect quiet, go for the inner courtya...

This is a great place to explore Mount Shasta and the nearby sights. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are big and well equipped. As a family of five, we struggle to find places large enough for us, without having to get two rooms. This was perfect - two large beds and a sofa bed. Complimentary breakfast was also great. The only downside was the train noise throughout the night. Nothing the hotel can do about that and it didn't really impact too much.

The best place we have ever stayed. Beautiful driving in and just kept getting better. Just walking up to the main entry to the lobby was awesome and then the lobby itself was magnificent. I really loved the "Lodge" ambiance with the thick pine everywhere. The rooms were very comfortable, the dining was marvelous (especially the Trout dinner and the Caesar salad),all of the personnel we encountered or conversed with were great. For any future trips through the area my itinerary will be based on staying there.

Room Tip: Make your needs/desires known whatever they are and they will go out of their way to accommodate you...

The rooms are large and comfortable. The hotel is very pleasant. There is a lot of walking and stairs to get from the lobby and the rooms though,. No elevators. The breakfast is included if you have that type of rate. It is varied and good. Close proximity to restaurants and other businesses. I would definitely recommend it.

Nice rooms and amenities, comfy beds, tasty restaurant. There is a bit of a stretch between the Medford/Ashland area in Oregon and Redding in California where accommodations can be hit or miss. This Best Western is of good quality.
