If you already know how to sail or windsurf they have nice rentals, and if you don't sail, they have canoes, kayaks, pedal boats, and rowboats. There is a cafe, shop, and lots of benches along the shore. Good times!

The park was dead and dry. Mapquest took us to the wrong entrance and when we found the right one, we drove around for 15 min looking for parking, and left.

Went little late on the day so could not go for boating, but would recommend it for day out near MTV area.

I simply loved the place. The lake, the park, the bike trail and the cafe. Everything was great, and will go back whenever the weathers nice and we can make it. It was a super relaxing Sunday, we took a pedal boat. $25 for an hr. You get for up to the whole day, for different prices.
There's no fee to enter the park.
The cafe is simple, with a nice little menu. We had fish and chips and a breakfast plate with eggs to order, bread of choice, hash and bacon/sausages. Loved the food, fresh and nice!

Shoreline Park is a pretty park in Mountain View. The water area is quite nice; small sail boats; paddle boats; and longboards. There is a nice small cafe by the water edge as well.

There is also a historic home here which on a few days each week they do tours through the home; it is called the Rengstorff House. The Rengstorff House is Mountain View’s oldest historic house and is a good example of Victorian Italianate architecture.

There are also areas for walking in the park, etc.

Admission is free; there is a charge to rent water sport equipment.
