This will be reasonably short, so many before me have told the truth, the whole truth . . . you know the rest.
Have had many lunches here, always excellent and above everyone else's norm. Creative, great tasting, enthusiastically served and reasonably priced. I have never written a review for Grounds but have recommended them to many people with missionary zeal. This review was prompted by a special circumstance on our most recent visit. We stopped for lunch before going to Calaveras Big Trees. Luckily we were a bit early and breakfast was still being served . . . which we enjoyed beyond satisfaction. But what really impressed us, and what I am recommending here, is their Bloody Mary's (not possessive, but I have no idea how to pluralize it and I yield to spellcheck). They are phenomenal, and trust me, I am not a novice judge of these concoctions though most of my experience was years ago. Noting flamboyant like umbrellas, long leafy celery sticks, etc., but a homemade mix that delivers great flavor to the very bottom of the glass. More horseradish than most, and I am not a big fan of this cruciferous root, but Grounds may just be influential in changing my mind. Try one . . . and enjoy a great meal here while in Murphys--outdoors in great, but probably not immediately after this review is published. Yum!
