Owner description: Jarvis Estate is a family owned winery dedicated to crafting a limited quantity of preeminent wines from our sustainably farmed, estate vineyards in the rugged hillside, four miles east of downtown Napa Valley. The Jarvis Estate winemaking facility is entirely contained within 45,000 square feet of cave tunneled into the scenic Vaca Mountains, and is not only a visual masterpiece, but a technical masterpiece as well. Wines are produced only from estate grown grapes and are cave-aged to perfection prior to release. Varietals include: Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Verdot, Tempranillo and a two proprietary Bordeaux blends.

“Not to be missed!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014 via mobile

Quite a bit more expensive than the other wineries but worth it! The entire winery is underground in a mountain except for the grapes! It was carved out using the same machine that did the Chunnel. The whole experience was nothing like I've every seen. The wine was spectacular and very pricey but it was very good and I usually don't drink wine. They have half bottles as well. Other wineries show you how they do it, you taste it and leave. This is similar but where they do everything is what makes it different. Worth the price. Off the beaten path a bit as well. You won't be disappointed!

First stop on a 3 day Napa tour and it set the bar high. Great experience and tour. Private tasting inside the cave. Cab Franc was awesome.

Such an amazing experience. The tour was so well done and the wine was amazing. Came home with 6 bottles of yummy chard. Couldn't have been happier to find this gem and will def. be back. You don't want to miss this one! The cave is a one of a kind experience.

“Can't Miss Tour/Tasting!!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 April 2014

My wife and I just got back from our 3rd trip to Napa. Jarvis was the most visually stunning winery that we have visited on any of our 3 trips. Our guide, Ted, was very friendly, funny, and super-informative. From start to finish, each wine was world-class.

This is a "can't miss" winery!!!
