“Great getaway for the week.”
Reviewed 23 July 2014

Great location, close to wineries and restaurants, priced reasonable for Napa valley,
Incredible Spa, Great swimming, tennis and golf. Like being at a resort in Hawaii
and so close to home! Silverado is a great place to come with your friends for a weekend.
The price of the room can meet everyone budget. You get to use the work out room and the spa area.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have been renovated try and stay in one of these

Dear Cruising,

First off, let me thank you for being a return guest to the Resort. It looks like we saw you about a year ago and are pleased that we were able to welcome you back once again. It sounds like you had the chance to take advantage of our newly renovated guest room and enjoyed it. Glad to hear it!!

We have more exciting changes on the horizon and we can't wait to share them with our guests.

Thanks for your review!

The Silverado Resort in Napa is not new and fancy like some resorts, the spa is cutting edge and the golf course is excellent but the property itself is older and worn. The floors creak and the room amenities are dated but it is a fine place to stay in the Napa Valley. Easy access to winery tours, very helpful staff, and an odd its like home ambience. Parking and wifi (its good wifi) are included in the resort fee Take the family, go with friends and relax, its cool to hang out with an old lady.

Room Tip: Try to stay in a single floor unit with no one above.

Greetings,

Your recent stay is much appreciated. Your review sharing your feedback with others that may be inspired to come spend some time with an elegant lady of over 130 years is also very welcome. Thank you for taking the time to share your balanced feedback.

Being here in the heart of Napa's wine country, we know as with good wine, we keep getting better with age.

We booked really late so did not have the choice we would have liked but we were very happy that we managed to get a room at Silverado last minute.

The rooms are great as they are just so big...if you are staying for more than a few days this can really pay off as the kitchens offer plenty of cooking space and equipment.

It is most definitely a family spot as offers two great golf course, awesome outdoor pools/pool deck and then the large Spa on the other side of the road.

We found breakfast lacking in quality but then most guests probably use their kitchen.

If you want a real hotel goers experience this probably is not your spot unless you just love having loads of space in your room to chill out.

Room Tip: Get a room in the section that is furthest from the hotel...they are newer and you can park your car...

Thank you for your surprise stay and review Max,

We appreciate your balanced feedback and hope that this inspires others whether they are planning or surprising us with a stay. Big rooms is never a bad thing to broadcast yet we would have liked to have won you over for that 4th or 5th star.

I hope we can welcome you back for a more proper experience so that you can experience the Silverado legacy for what it truly is meant to be.

We just returned from a golf weekend during which we stayed in a wonderful house in the Grove. The Grove is a collection of large homes, in a gated portion of the development. Ours was very large, three bedrooms and very generous living, dining and cooking spaces. The back veranda was particularly nice. It was spacious and comfortable, with fairway views (and no errant balls during our stay). The home was well furnished, and bedrooms and baths more than adequate, and in the case of the master bath, very large and well appointed. Just across the road, was a pool and spa area, with a large pool and a generous spa, and plenty of room for lounging. In all, a great spot and a wonderful house.

Caveat for cooks: We decided to eat in and were informed that BBQs were not allowed due to fire risk. I therefore brought some trusty skillets to use to cook our meat courses. Had I not done so, the available pans would not have sufficed. In general, the kitchen is adequate for cooking but lacks serving pieces (platters, serving bowls, trays and the like) that you would want if cooking for a group. So, if you have something special in mind to cook, make sure you bring anything beyond the bare basics.

Room Tip: Look for houses in the Grove, if you are after a larger house.

Wazito,

We loved that you settled into our Grove neighborhood and enjoyed the serenity and space these units provide! With 5 distinct neighborhoods we truly do have something for everyone from the hustle bustle mansion side rooms for all the main pool and restaurant and bar fun to the country setting found in the Oak Creek neighborhood.

Please accept my apologies that the kitchen was not as stocked as you would have preferred. Next time you visit, request us to supplement and we will be happy to make you more comfortable for a great and memorable visit with friends and family,

This was a corporate conference and I was the spouse of one of the attendees. The room was just adequate. I called to get something a bit nicer but the front desk person was not interested in up-selling me to a nicer room. Not much teamwork going on between the different departments. The front desk and concierge desk were not very helpful. Better to plan your daily activities before you get there. The people who drive you around on golf carts were great. Food was very good. Nice location but I don't think I would return.

Room Tip: Get a room near the main building WITH a patio or balcony.

Greetings and thank you for your balanced review,

Accept my apologies on behalf of the team that did not show you the genuine care you deserve. Being the partner of a working professional in meetings can be tough as there are two different trip personas at play, work and leisure. We hope that where we did shine you will consider us for a return visit and can always contact me prior to your arrival for arrangements to be made.

Safe travels and hope Napa beckons you again soon,

Initially, the entrance of the resort looked beautiful and welcoming. Cameron made our check in pleasant and promising for our stay. Carlton our Bellman drove us in a golf cart to our room providing us with an insightful background of the resort's history. He's very knowledgable of the resort and made it feel like home. He was such a delight to talk to. However as the trip progressed in our hotel room, we ran into issues with plumbing and TV reception. The resort's Wi-Fi was really weak (but we were told it's currently getting updated). The walls are thin and you are able to hear noise and other conversations from the surrounding rooms. At checkout when addressing our issues, Ana was delightfully able to help make our accommodations much easier. She informed us of the transitions and renovations that they're currently going through to help our future stay be more promising. Silverado staff is such a delight and we appreciate the warm hospitality provided to us.

Hello,

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience as we work hard to elevate the legacy of Silverado! We have a lot of work to do and are up to the task. While we may not have completely exceeded your expectations this trip, we know the next will be one for the memory bank!

Stay in touch and continue to provide your balanced feedback for our improvement. Most importantly, thank you for your recognition of the associates that defined the experience for you. Carlton, Cameron and Ana define what make this property special, it's people.

Thank you for recognizing this.

My "stay" was very disappointing. This is not a resort at all. It's an apartment with a car-port, very outdated rooms, and a depressing pool. Not the experience I was hoping to get in Napa. The rooms reminded me of my college dorm. It's weird because the website portrays its property as a high end place. I just couldn't believe I was being charged over $300 to stay at an apartment.

That being said, the employees were very kind (2 stars).

My recommendation is to plan ahead enough especially during summer peak season so you can stay at the nicer hotels in Yountville or Downtown Napa.
