Walking in the door, we were welcomed first by the valet and then by a guy with an iPad, who checked us in immediately, offered water or wine. The room was clean and well laid out. The property is well located. The Andaz family table restaurant could stand alone. The food was awesome and the service was very good. We only had breakfast, but I assume dinner and lunch would rival what we had. I would go back.

Room Tip: I would request a room facing South or West, view is better. Free parking in back, so don't hav...

For my boyfriends birthday we stayed for one night in a Napa for a small getaway for the weekend and boy did we pick the right place. One night was just perfect to walk around and eat dinner around the town. We stayed in the studio suite, best part was the grand Victorian tub right next to the bedroom. We could have stayed for another night because the property and location was gorgeous but pretty pricey for a hotel room. Anyways so worth it, I recommend this hotel to any couple who needs to relax and drink wine!

If you're looking for a clean, slick modern hotel conveniently situated in the center of Napa and above average service, the Andaz, Napa is it. Although it is part of the Hyatt family, it has the feeling of a small boutique hotel.

Even before you get to the hotel, you get an email inviting you to check in and asking you for an estimated arrival time. We entered 4pm, but received an email at around 1:30pm saying that our room was ready - nice touch. There is no check-in desk, but you are greeted upon arrival by room managers equipped with iPads who check you into your room and give you yours keys while you are comfortably seated on the sofa with a nice complimentary glass of wine- very drinkable, not just any old cheap wine either.

There is a 4-story parking garage conveniently located right behind the hotel. Overnight parking is on level 3 and it is free. Internet access and all non-alcoholic beverages from the in-room minibar are also free- why couldn't all hotels be like this ?

Our standard king bedroom was very comfortable but was on the smaller size than comparable rooms we are used to. We were on the top floor and it was very quiet . We did not hear the people next door at all and the only noise came from outside the hotel with people coming back late, but that was not excessive and only lasted for short durations.

The Farmers Table restaurant only serves small bites and burgers for dinner, (not really a big issue since Napa is full of great restaurants) but they do the burgers very well. After an afternoon wine tasting and wanting only a snack this time, it suited us well. Try the burger with the pork belly - you will not be disappointed !

Just a few negatives - the bed could have been a bit firmer for our taste. We did check out the patio/firepit on the second floor but did not stay long because there were empty glasses and bottles left around which had not been cleared away. Also there was a sewage smell coming from somewhere.

Pros:
1. Conveniently located in the center of Napa with all its fine restaurants within waling distance
2. Service and ambiance, uniqueness of check-in/out process
3. Room quality
4. Quiet
5. Convenient free parking and free internet access/non-alcoholic beverages in-room

Cons:
1. Bed could have been a bit firmer
2. Glasses/bottles not cleared away and sewage smell on the 2nd floor patio/firepit

The hotel delivers a better way to provide service that is more hospitable than most chains. The downtown location provides access to a vast opportunity for food beverage and entertainment. The complimentary wine during the ipad check-in along with the spacious rooms and contemporary bath provide a delightful change of pace from the norm.

This hotel is located in downtown Napa so it's great to be able to stroll thru downtown and grab a bite to eat. The hotel itself is nice. Newish. Big bathtub and shower. Comfortable bed. Only complaint is if your room faces the internal courtyard, and you are not partying late into the nite, be prepare to listen to other people partying in the courtyard, which has a couple nice fire pits for people to hang out and stay warm. Staff is super friendly.

We stayed in the middle of the week in February and were upgraded to a suite with a two way fireplace overlooking the courtyard. It had a super comfortable bed (best out of all of the hotels we stayed at in wine country). Nice rainfall walk in shower and separate soaking tub. Loved the stocked mini fridge with complimentary water, soda and juice. They also had a mini bar with wine, beer and liquor for purchase. We ate at the hotel restaurant twice and were pleased both times. At night we just had salads and sliders that were very fresh and tasty. The breakfast which was included with our room rate, was wonderful... I highly recommend the Crab Benedict. The staff was helpful and friendly although it was hectic at check in so we missed out on our complimentary glass of wine but we had already had several at wineries so that wasn't a big deal. The concierge suggested a couple of great wineries for the next day and gave us several coupons. Would definitely recommend staying here but also suggest trying smaller hotels in northern Napa, we did both (and Sonoma Valley as well) and were pleased with the variety it offered. We will stay here again next time we are in Napa... would also be great if you were traveling for business or as part of a group tour, lots of cozy places to sit and visit both indoors and outdoors.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the courtyard or back are quiet. If you are a Visa Signature card holder book through...

When we got there they helped us right away & gave us a complementary glass of champagne. Offered to call us a cab to the wine train since I didn't want to walk & was our first main stop why we were staying in Napa. I would've given this hotel all 5's except for the fact that I found a fake lash on the night stand found it kind of gross. But overall the hotel is beautiful & the staff very friendly & attentive.
