“Great Tour. Great Value”

Napa Winery Shuttle
Reviewed 22 May 2014 via mobile

Makes a personalized tour based on your interests. Lawrence our tour guide was amazing and shows you how to obtain 2 for 1 tasting coupons in the process. The only thing stopping me from giving it 5 stars is that the shuttle is a little dilapidated. This was the least expensive tour and was worth it.

My husband and I took our first trip to Napa this past March. We wanted to see several wineries but not have to worry about drinking and driving. This shuttle bus tour was convenient as they picked us up directly from our hotel in Napa. I found many other tours started in San Fran. Our tour guide Lawrence was very knowledgable and patient especially as the day went on and our group got slightly rowdier. We made it to 7 different wineries and saw some beautiful views. We met some great people and overall I would definitely recommend this tour. My one note would be that you will more than likely end up in the area where the furthest group is staying. We had a couple with us who was staying in Calistoga so that's mainly the area we toured. If you have specific wineries in mind I would mention them early on.

We used Napa Winery Shuttle last week and had Laurence as a driver - he is a great resource. We had never been to Napa and he had great recommendations. He also shared a lot of interesting information on the area and the different vineyards. It was great to not worry about driving while wine tasting (obviously!) but also great to be able to relax and take in the scenery - such a beautiful area. We visited 6 wineries in one day. For us, it was a great experience - a really special day!

Wife and I used Napa Winery Shuttle on 11/25/13. Background: We have used Temecula Valley and Paso Robles Shuttles before.

$75 per person is slightly higher than the others in different regions, however, we have to say that Napa Winery Shuttle was the best so far!!! We took the trip in the "blind" not really knowing what kind of service, Napa Winery Shuttle would provide.

"Lawrence" was our driver and we had 2 other couples with us. We visited about 7 or so wineries, which is great, depending on the others in your group. Lawrence got us through the wineries within reasonable time. In other words, you run the schedule and he simply drives. We found Lawrence to be a very well educated and patient driver. Lawrence was VERY accommodating, knowledgeable, and had helpful "hints" on "saving" money... We look forward to our next Napa trip and will ask for "Lawrence."

We thought the shuttle would be a great idea for hopping from winery to winery but it just wasn't that great. We requested Laurence as our tour guide, who was very nice but seemed like any average Joe. Here are some of the pros and cons:

- We did not have to drink and drive (although we would hardly say we got close to being drunk)
- We visited 6 different wineries
- We met a couple of cool people on our tour
- The grocery/deli stop on the tour was nice

- If you have folks in your tour that have very specific tastes or requests, then you may not get to do some of the tours you prefer. We wanted to do wineries that special in white wine, but that idea was shot down by a couple on our tour, so it did not end up happening.
- We expected a lot more information about the area and wineries from our guide but he didn't tell us anything you couldn't read off the company's websites. I guess the tour can be considered information if you go to Napa without doing ANY prior research.
- The tour is a bit expensive at $75 per person especially since you will most likely end up with 2-4 other people.
- Since you are with a group, the driver has to call and make appointments for certain places whereas if you went alone most places would take you without an appointment.
