“Great Sashimi”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

We ate here twice. The first night we got in very late; and stayed at the Napa River Inn; a few hundred yards away.
We were very happy to find the restaurant open; and we had Sashimi, which was very creative, and tasty.
We went back here on another day during our stay, and elected the degustation menu. For us it was completely the wrong choice. It was very heavy on fried, and Tempura dishes. We avoid fried like the plague. If I were to order the degustation menu here again, I would make it clear to the server that I didn't want fried courses.

“Great Food & Beer”
Reviewed 30 March 2014

Iron Chef Morimoto's Napa restaurant is definitely worth a visit while you're in the area. The decor was exceptionally elegant & creative which was very welcoming. I loved the great selection of appetizers which made for easy sharing. The best item for a seafood lover was the rock shrimp tempura, followed closely by the seared octopus. My meat lovers enjoyed the sticky ribs & pork dumplings. The raw bar options were very fresh & delicious. My only complaint is with the excessively large maki rolls that weren't very appetizing. Do not leave Morimoto's without trying his signature brewed beer. Share each bottle, as they're very large, so that you can taste a few different ones. My favorite was the Soba followed closely by the Hazelnut.

“Awesome Place All Around!”
Reviewed 29 March 2014

Morimoto's in Downtown Napa CA is not to be missed. This restaurant is awesome! The decor of the place will blow you away ( beautifully crafted wooden tables, elegant leather sofas/ chairs which are great for cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, staff that are highly professional and trained, a drink menu that is unrivaled)

I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant if you are a fan of eclectic food. I also recommend the Kentucky Rocking Chair Cocktail it is fabulous ( Woodford Reserve Bourbon, Black Tea, Gingered Honey, and a mint garnish) the tea and bourbon pair beautifully with the gingered honey.

All around this is an awesome place that on needs to experience with friends/ family. The atmosphere is lively and energetic and the food is fantastic. Check out their website and you will see first hand what I am talking about.

“Wow, Just wish it was quieter”
Reviewed 28 March 2014

Food - outstanding, spectacular. Inspired, well seasoned, expertly plated. Really enjoyed the tartar, crab legs, beef.
Service - excellent. Loved our waiter 'Z';.
Ambiance - awful. It was so noisy we couldn't hear the waiter or each other. If the food wasn't so good I'd be rating this a 1 since it was so uncomfortable.
The food was so good we'll let it slide, but for this price you should be able to enjoy your company and at least hear your waiter!!
Morimoto, please put up dividers/noise silencers/whatever to help the nosie level!!

“Fabulous Dinner”
Reviewed 27 March 2014

We had a late reservation because it was booked. It all was worth it. Everyone's dinners were outstanding, along with our waiter.
