“Perfect getaway for a weekend in Napa”
Reviewed 11 July 2014

We stayed here for 2 nights over 4th of July weekend and we were so impressed with everything. We arrived in the late afternoon and were greeted by Alex who did a great job of showing us around the property, and also listening to what we wanted to get out our trip to Napa (it was our first time) and he gave us some great places to go and also useful feedback on places we had planned to visit. Stacie was also a huge help and a sweetheart. All staff are so hospitable and helpful, and take a genuine interest to their guests.
The linens in the room are fantastic, and I also really liked the bath products they have in the bathroom; I am always so pleasantly surprised when places don't have some generic smelling, skin and hair moisture stripping soaps. We had one of the upstairs rooms with a balcony that was nice to read on between afternoon tastings and dinner.
Breakfast was always healthy, but yummy, and I love how throughout the day there's always coffee, some beverages, and AMAZING gluten free cookies available. I like the serve yourself aspect because it almost makes you feel like part of the family.
We also had a few hours to kill before our flights home but were too tired to continue to do tastings and touring, so we just lounged in their beautiful backyard space with some magazines which was a nice way to wind down the weekend. A definite must!

Our gluten free chocolate chip cookies have quickly become a favorite with our guests. If you would like the recipe it is on our website. Thanks so much for staying with us. I am so glad that you enjoyed the inn and all the amenities!

You can drive yourself crazy looking for a good base from which to visit Napa Valley. There are loads of places to stay: inns, b&bs, hotels, homes. The Inn was the perfect place for us: It's a beautiful property that was completely redone 2 years ago with beautiful style and attention to detail; Karen the inn keeper does everything to help you have the best experience in the valley possible; the Inn is located within pleasant walking distance of the redone Riverfront area and the restaurants there; everything is looked after perfectly.

A few details: When we booked our room Karen helped us set up a group wine tour with Platypus Tours, which enabled us to see 4 fabulous wineries with a fun small group of people and an excellent guide without us having to drive from winery to winery - Perfect. Our room (the Wilson in the main house) had a queen sleigh bed and a sitting area, 3 beautiful windows, and a bathroom with heated floor, and top notch appointments - Perfect. There are snacks and beverages on the first floor and a beautiful outdoor space to enjoy the half bottle of wine waiting for us when we checked in - Perfect. Breakfast included fresh fruit salad, yoghurt, granola, juice, coffee/tea, and a hot entree that was delicious - Perfect. Karen helps with local information, directions, wine shipping, you name it - Perfect. And there is the added plus that the Inn has made a major investment in the community by lovingly restoring this gorgeous home.

Yountville and St. Helena are other beautiful towns in the Valley with big name restaurants or resorts and more galleries, boutiques and shopping, but the town of Napa was a perfect base for us from which to take a winery tour, and was quiet and quaint and probably less expensive.

Just returned from 5 nights at The Inn on Randolph and it was incredible. The Inn is beautiful. It sits on a quiet residential street but is a 10 minutes walk from restaurants, shops etc. It is completely renovated and immaculate. We stayed in The Franklin Cottage which was beautiful and peaceful with the softest sheets ever!! The grounds are lovely and there are numerous outdoor spots to relax with a glass of wine!! Breakfasts were amazing. Innovative, healthy and delicious - no scrambled eggs and home fries here! Already planning a return visit for next year.

We can't wait to have you back next summer, and we look forward to meeting your friends. Let's touch base in late spring and we can set up some very special unique wine tours that will "WOW" your friends. I am also happy to bring in a winemaker to do a private tasting at the inn. Hope you enjoy the rest of your summer!

Warmly,

Karen

My husband and I spent our honeymoon here at the Inn on Randolph in Napa. We can't say enough good things about their hospitality and amazing breakfast that was prepared fresh every morning. We stayed in the Laurel Cottage. The plush linens and comfortable bed was a dream! Karen took great care of us, making sure we had everything we needed. She gave us some wonderful recommendations on places to eat and wineries to visit. We will definitely stay here next time we're in Napa!

The Inn on Randolph is a perfect stay...great hosts, a fantastic staff, and an incredible breakfast (a special nod to the chef) all within the perfectly decorated, lovingly restored inn. Loved the wine and the cheese, the cookies, our beautiful room, the sheets (which were heavenly), the bath products, and the garden, complete with roses and water features...thanks for a perfect stay!

Beautifully renovated, friendly and helpful owner and staff made our 2 day stay memorable and welcoming to wine country after a 10 year hiatus. Great location to Napa downtown offerings as well as a lower valley entry to all wineries. Highly recommended.

My husband and I stayed at the Inn for two nights. What a great place.

Location is terrific, in a charming neighborhood within easy walking distance to downtown Napa. The property is gorgeous - charming gardens and places to lounge in the sun and shade. The house and cottages have been beautifully restored. Our room was one of the smallest but it was really comfortable with lots of nice amenities. Breakfasts were incredibly delicious. Also, we enjoyed watching the World Cup in the common room.

But what really makes this place stand out is the exceptionally gracious hospitality - Karen and Stacey went out of their way to make sure we were having a good time. They were super helpful and had terrific recommendations for activities and restaurants.

I will definitely stay here again and recommend to friends.
